66. REUNION *

Lee wasn't happy I wouldn't let him drive Noah's Jeep but how could I. When I know that one Noah would be upset and two Lee is the same way about his mustang. Rebecca laughed as Lee pouted and kept trying to make me feel guilty about the fact he was my bestie. Rebecca shook her head "yeah, but Flynn is her fiancee." Yep, she had already learned that Noah will not answer to anyone but me and the family when they use anything but Flynn. We also had filled her in on all the drama and she understood why I made sure she understood that he loved me. She shook her head and told me that to her Noah was like a big brother. I was glad that she did not see him as a man she would try to take from me. The funny thing was she described the kind of guy she liked and I looked at Lee and he smirked and nodded his head. "Why did you nod Lee?" I giggled "remember what the family said about me and Lee." "Oh, yeah how you two can read each other's minds." "Yep, that is it exactly." "Ah, OK if you don't mind me asking what was it about." I giggled "oh, you will see. Well eventually just not yet."

We all made it home and it wasn't long before Lee walked to his house next door. Rebecca looked at me "You are lucky to have him as your best friend." "Yeah, I am. He has always had my back." I take a deep breath "he has had a hard time. A lot of his ex-girlfriends made him choose and they were not happy he didn't choose them. I hate to think about all the times he was hurt." "Oh, that sucks. Especially what that girl Rachel did. I mean how could she use him to get to his big brother. Especially since she knew that you were with him. Well, I guess I should say she eventually knew." I chuckled "yeah." "Not that I am interested because he is so not my type but is he single now?" "No, he is dating this girl named Patrice. She is awesome and she really seems to understand mine and Lee's twiness." "Really?" "Yeah, she came over about a week ago and caught us asleep together and she took a picture of us and then proceeded to wake us up while videotaping us." "Oh, I bet that was funny." "Yep, especially since Lee fell off the couch." "What?" "Yeah, we fell asleep in the game room watching a movie."

"So, she wasn't upset." "Nope." "Why the picture and video?" "Oh, the picture she put up on her social media tagging us with the hashtag how cute besties fell asleep together. As for the video it was payback to Lee since he drenched her one day jumping into the pool. She posted it and the gang ribbed him on the fact he fell on the floor face first." Rebecca was laughing her butt off "I can tell already we are going to be great friends Elle." "I hope we are Rebecca. I hate to cut this short but if we are going to be able to make it to school on time we should hit the hay." "OK see you in the morning." "Yep, oh and my mom and June put your uniforms in your room." "OK, what do I need to wear." "Just pick out what you want from the uniforms. My mom said she put them in the front of the closet." "OK, goodnight Elle." "Goodnight Rebecca." "Oh, Elle." "Yeah." "Please call me Becs." "OK, Becs goodnight." "Goodnight again Elle." We chuckled as we walked into our rooms.

The next day I made sure to be up and went to wake up Becs before I got dressed to be surprised she was already up and dressed. "Good morning Elle. I guess I am a little excited." "I bet." "UHM, how about we wear the same thing." I smile "sure, with the exception of the tie since I wear Noah's old tie." "That sounds good. That way we match but not too much." I walk into my room and pull on my yellow bra and shirt. Then grab my skirt pulling it on after the matching panties and thigh-high blue socks. I grab Noah's tie as usual and pull it on before heading down to get breakfast. We had just finished breakfast when I grabbed the sandwich I made along with three bottles of juice and ran outside. Rebecca shook her head as we climbed into Lee's mustang "damn Elle you're still eating?" I laughed and handed Lee the sandwich and a bottle of juice. He smirked, "nope the sandwich is mine." I give Rebecca her juice and we all buckle up and are soon heading to school.

As we pull into the parking lot the gang is around the car and Dixon steps forward "hey Evans you need to go now. Coach Lawson is looking for you." I nod my head making sure that the gang will take care of Becs before I go in search of Coach so he doesn't see his surprise. The good thing is that we had warned the gang so they made sure to warn me about Coach so we could pull off the best gift ever. I knew that Lee and Patrice would get the stuff for Coach and help Becs get her schedule. We knew that once Coach and she were reunited she would be attending Buckner hall. Of course, because of what she went through the school board waived her fee. We were told not to tell anyone and none of us had a problem. Even though it was hard Lee and I didn't even tell the gang or Patrice about how Becs was attending Buckner but honestly they didn't care. All they cared about was having a new person in the group.

I made my way inside and saw Coach "what's up Coach." "Hey, you are not feeling tired today right?" "Yeah, Coach don't worry I didn't overdo it last night." "Good. I just wish the principal hadn't set up this scrimmage since we have that open spot." "You trust me right." "Yep." I met this new girl on Thursday and I have been working with her all weekend. I told her she can play in today's scrimmage and we will use it as her tryout." "OK, that sounds good. If you think she can play with our team I trust you, Evans." "I am glad Coach." Little did Coach know that the main reason I started walking to my class was to get him away from the main door and the office so the gang could bring Becs into the school and straight to the office. Coach told me goodbye once we were at my class and he headed to the field house. I was relieved that I knew for the rest of the day he will be at the field house making sure everything will run smoothly for the game.

I took my seat and it wasn't long before Lee walked in with Becs following him "yeah, I can't believe the rents made sure to have them put you in all our classes. The only class we are not with Shelly is last period and that is because Shelly is in soccer and we have it off." She looked at me "you don't have an off period." I smiled "I could but then I would have to give up soccer. If you join the team you will have to give up that period for soccer as well." "Cool as you know I will definitely give up last period. Why wasn't I put in soccer right away?" I smiled at her "because you have to try out for the team and Coach has to place you in the class. Plus we didn't want him to see your name on his roster." "Ah, ok." She looked around "what about the teachers." I smiled "the principal messaged them not to tell Coach about the new student."

She shook her head "you all are great." The day went way too slow for all of us. We all were getting really excited to see Coach Lawson's face when he saw Becs. Hell, we couldn't wait to see Mrs. Lawson's face as well. This was a day Buckner high will remember for a very long time. Once we were all at lunch Dixon just had to go there "so, this Saturday after Thanksgiving is the fair right." "Yep." "So, you one of the kissers?" Eddie laughed "I am telling Flynn." "Dude it was a joke." Becs looked at me "do you need any more kissers?" I looked at her "really?" "Yeah, that way I can get my first kiss." I laughed and Lee groaned "great another girl who has never been kissed gets their first kiss at our booth." Becs laughed "oh, that's right. I forgot Elle you got your first kiss at the booth." I nodded "yep." "She smirked "and the rest was history."

I saw the principal tap her wrist and I knew it was time to start setting everything up. I nodded at her and told the gang "I have to go. It's time to get everything ready." "Go twin we got this." I nod and head off to my locker and grab the bag that has the ball and plaque. I had made it to the field house doors when the rest of the team was there and we got a chance to check out the clipboard and we couldn't be happier. She had even draped the whistle on it and as she showed us we noticed she had engraved today's date on one side and the date of our first game on the other. I smiled at her "it is perfect." "Thanks, captain." We walked in and pretended to suit up so Coach didn't get suspicious. I looked around at the girls "ladies this will be a day to remember for the rest of our lives." "Yeah, the day we give coach a happy ending."

It wasn't long before we heard the principal give his speech about how much Coach Lawson means to us and that this is not a scrimmage but a means for the soccer team to show their appreciation to Coach Lawson. We all ran out at that point and I saw Lee and the guys standing behind the stands with Becs. I smiled at them and made my way to the stage. I shook my head and took a deep breath as I step in front of the mic. "Coach four years ago I walked onto this field and had several girls laugh at me because of my size. You told them to knock it off and it wasn't long after I proved my worth to this team. Not only did I make the team but I stole Captain from the previous captain. That first year she tried multiple times to get her title back but to no avail. As the years passed those of us on this stage grew closer and closer together and closer to you. You started telling us how you would hate to see us go because we were the first set of girls that you coached from our Freshman year till now. So, Coach, we want to thank you for all you have taught us and how much you have protected us."

The girls each step forward and hand him the item they had. First, it was the plaque which he read out loud "to the greatest coach ever." He wiped a tear away as he is handed the clipboard "oh, girls this is gorgeous. Is that the date of our first game?" We all nod "wow girls. Oh, and today's date. As if I could forget today." Then he is handed the ball. I smile at him "Coach I know we are not allowed to give you a game ball but here is a ball from us to you." He looked at it and smiled "ah, all my girls signed this." Smiling "well those of us you have coached these last four years." I look around "Mrs. Lawson will you come up here please." It didn't take her long before she was standing next to Coach. I smile "there is one last surprise and this one is for the two of you." They both nodded and I smiled...
