80. DINNER AND SURPRISES *

I understood why June wanted me to wait for the risque outfit and was ok with waiting until after our Thanksgiving lunch.  The good thing was that we always had Thanksgiving dinner at lunchtime because back when I was little we would eat dinner with our extended family.  My dad couldn't see my mom's family and not feel his heartbreak knowing that she was missing and we slowly drifted apart.  Plus after my grandparents passed away my uncle moved across the country and met the woman he ended up marrying.  What was supposed to be a one-year consulting assignment for the company he worked for turned into a permanent position when he met Aunt Rhonda.  The good thing is now that mom is back he is rushing home to see his big sister and let us formally meet Aunt Rhonda and his kids Lincoln, Sebastian, and Kimberly.  That did not include Aunt Rhonda's son Orion that she had when she was in high school.  Noah was not happy about them coming in because as far as he was concerned Orion was a strange boy plus he was bringing in his bestie Austin because Austin was living with them since his parents moved to Europe and he wanted to stay in the states to finish his Senior year.  The only thing that calmed him down after what happened with his friend was our parents promising him I was staying at his house until they left.

So, while we were all getting ready the men took off to pick up our new guests and we women started getting ready for our night out with our men.  We were all waiting downstairs talking about Uncle Tom's arrival.  "Look he saw the headline about you taking down that organization and there was a picture of us and it made him curious.  He called your dad Elle the night before last and we told him everything.  He was upset that we didn't call him but when I explained I didn't want to bring everyone in yet until I made sure you and Brad were healed he understood.  While I was talking to Tom your dad called Mathew and we invited them to come to Thanksgiving dinner that is the real reason why we had to go shopping today to get extra food.  So, that is why you bought another turkey and ham?"  "Yep, luckily we all have three ovens so I will be cooking a turkey and Juney will be cooking two turkeys.  Tomorrow morning we will put in the hams."  We had just finished discussing when the group walked in and instantly tensed when I saw Austin.  I remembered him from a tournament in Virginia.   He followed me around and didn't care that I told him I had a boyfriend.  He kept telling me that he didn't care and that what Noah didn't know wouldn't hurt him.  

He smirked at me and I saw Noah behind him with bags and I thought why not let him know I am still taken and that Noah is mine and I am his.  I get up smiling at the neanderthal behind him and walk up and I see Noah smirk at me as does Austin as I get close he says "hi beau...."  as I walk past him and into Noah's arms.  "Missed me Shelly baby."  "Always."  Lee being Lee has to yell "gross, come on you two it has only been about an hour."  I giggle "technically it has been longer since I haven't spent time with Noah since lunch because we women went shopping then we were making the pies.  Plus after that, you all took off to pick up Uncle Tom and his family while we got dressed."  I stuck my tongue out at Lee and he just shook his head.  "Shells so won't go there I have my own girl remember plus your my brother's fiancee."  I giggle and snuggle into Noah's chest "that I am."  I couldn't help but wink and Lee.  Lee didn't know about Austin but he picked it up immediately that I was making sure that everyone knew I was Noah's and he was mine.  He also figured out when I stuck my tongue out at him since we had one of our conversations that I wanted everyone to know we were engaged.  

Austin looked around "so, are we going out to eat or not."  I looked around "yep we are."  I skipped to the closet and pulled out my leather jacket as well as Noah's and tossed his at him and pulled on mine.  I saw Austin eye me as I pull it on and rolled my eyes.  I was grateful that one my mom said no risque outfits and that we were going to the diner so I was in jeans and one of my t-shirts.  Noah smiles at me pulling on his jacket before pulling me into his arms.  "Mom, Dad, Max, and Mary Shells and I will be going together."  I giggle "yep, I want a ride.  We haven't ridden this whole vacation."  Lee shakes his head "ok, well I will take the stang who is ridding with me and Patrice."  Becs jumps up "we will."  Sean nods "yeah, that way I don't have to drive.  I really thought I would but seeing as Evans and Flynn are ridding together we will join you little Flynn."  My mom looks at us "you two are you sure you don't want to take the jeep."  Noah looks down at me and I pout "yeah, Mary we are sure.   Shells here really want to go for a ride.  We will probably also stop off at our place for a while afterward and don't worry I will have her back in time to put the turkeys in the oven."
