102. DATE NIGHT

When he turned around he stared at me and let his jaw drop.  My dad chuckled "you are going to catch flies, Noah."  He closed his mouth and smiled "that is exactly what my girl is supposed to look like."  I smiled at him and continued down the stairs where he had moved to take my hand.  He looked at my parents and smiled "thank you for letting me take my girl out tonight."  He led me out to his jeep and helped me in before running around and climbing in himself.  It didn't take him long before he took off and I glanced at him "what no blindfold?"  "Nope, it is not that kind of surprise.  I just want to spend time with you alone."  I couldn't help but smile "sorry that we all have been so busy these last few days."  "Don't be I figured that the first few days of me being home you would have plans with your friends since your Christmas break had just started."  We continued to talk and it wasn't long before he pulled into Maccheroni Republic.  I looked at him "yeah, I know it is not a steak house but I thought we could do something different.  Plus it has been a while since we have had Italian."

I couldn't help but smile "this is fine.  I like the idea of doing something different from what we normally do and that the chances of us bumping into someone we know is slim to none."  "Exactly the last thing I want is anyone from the gang showing up.  As for Lee, I told him we were coming here and he agreed not to show up.  He even said he would tell the gang and they all decided to text each other where they were taking their girls out so we don't bump into each other.  I couldn't help but giggle that all the guys wanted alone time with their girls.  I could not blame them every time the last few days they all wanted alone time with us we had girls activities planned or group outings.  We walked in and I looked up and saw this guy at the podium and he looked at me smiled and then glanced at Noah who said "reservation for Flynn."  It wasn't long before we were led to a table and Noah pulled out my chair.   I watched the host smile at Noah and set down the menus.   He looked at Noah again "your server should be here in a moment.  Is there something you would like to drink?"  Noah smiled "yes may we please have two diet cokes."  

The host nodded and as he walked off Noah glared at his back.  I giggled "Noah stop."  "What am I doing wrong?  He actually looked you up and down."  I giggled "then only paid attention to you.  He may have checked me out but he respected our relationship by paying attention to you versus me."  "Ok, I will give him that but if he so much as..."  "Noah stop not every person we come across is going to try to come between us."  "I will behave."  The server showed up and it was another guy and he set down our two diet cokes and looked at me smiled and I saw his eyes land on my left hand.  After a few seconds, he glanced at Noah "Hello my name is Will.  Would you and your fiancee like an appetizer sir?"  Noah glanced up from the menu "Violetta Di Melanzane please and will you please give us a few more minutes to order our main course."  "Yes, sir."  I watched Noah as he walked away since I already knew what I wanted to eat "what did you order?"  "Oh, it is baked eggplant rolls stuffed with mozzarella with a grana padano pomodoro salsa."  "what is grana padano pomodro?"  "It is tomato salsa."  

"Ok, that sounds good."  "Do you know what you want?"  "Not sure I might get the Tortelloni Alfredo or the Lasagna Di Carne."  He looked at me "what do both of them have?"  I laughed "this is why we don't go to too many new restaurants.  The Tortelloni Alfredo is a spinach and ricotta tortelloni with a creamy parmesan sauce.  The Lasagna Di Carne is an Emilian lasagna with meat ragout and cheese."  "Oh, how about you get the tortelloni and I get the lasagna and we can share."  "I like that idea."  Will showed up and placed down Violeta Melanzane with the sauce on the side.  "Sir are you ready to order?"  Noah smiled "yes we would like the Tortelloni Alfredo and the Lasagna Di Carne."  "I will place your order in right away sir."  He walked away and Noah sighed "I really like this place."  I giggled "why is that?"  I reached over and pierced one of the eggplant rolls placing it on my plate cutting it then dipping it into the sauce.  Noah smiled at me "because we don't have to worry about some jokers flirting with us.  I will admit when Will looked you up and down I was fighting the urge to knock him into next week.  It wasn't until he looked at me and then referred to you as my fiancee did I realize he was going to respect our relationship."  "I am glad as well.  I hate it when people do not respect our relationship.  You are the only guy for me."  "Same here Shelly baby.  That is why I couldn't wait to make you officially mine.  I have been in love with you for so long there is no way I am going to lose you."
