17. SURPRISE *

June leads us all out to the vehicles and my dad insists on me ridding with him and my mom. I couldn't tell him no since most of the time lately I go everywhere with either Lee or Noah. My dad asked me exactly what had happened with Warren so I explained how Warren did not like the fact that I was with Noah and cornered me against a wall at Eddie's and tried to feel me up. I kept pushing him off and trying to get away when he held me down and just as his hand started moving up my shirt he was ripped off me by Noah. I told him how Noah proceeded to beat the crap out of Warren while Lee held me while I tried to get myself together. I explained that the only reason Warren didn't end up in the hospital was that several of the football players pulled Noah off of Warren. They then warned Warren to stay away from me or next time they wouldn't stop Noah. My dad nodded his head "ok, but please baby girl tell me if you ever get in trouble again even if someone saves you." "Yes, dad."

Mom decided that she needed something from her house so that is where we headed. As we pulled up I could not believe the house she lived in for the last six years. It made the Flynn's place look like a shack. We walked in and I instantly started to look around. My mom chuckled "yeah, he was a specialist so he was rich." She smirked at me "how do you think I was able to buy that dress for you." I look at her "what?" "Baby girl that is a designer dress." The suits your dad and Bradley are wearing I bought them they are not rentals. I even bought one for each of the Flynn's thankfully June had Noah's sizes." I grinned "is that how yours and June's dresses match but are different colors." She smiles "yep." My mom leads me to a room and turns on the light "even though he kept me here at home all the time he did have dinner parties so he bought me all of this. Now I want you to pick out a purse for tonight. Oh, and you can keep whatever you choose."  I looked around and found the purse I wanted. It was black with Blue going through it not only did it match the dress I was wearing which was a line that hit me two inches above the knee. It was blue and the bodice skimmed my body and hid my cleavage with a cold shoulder sleeve.  It would also match most of the dresses I own.

My mom chuckled "June did say you wore a lot of blue." "Yeah, it's Noah's favorite color on me. I have worn other colors but this is the one he loves." "So, you plan on wearing this for him." "I don't know he normally likes all my dresses and skirts to hit at the knee. Don't even get me started on the school uniforms. He hated the fact the skirts hit me mid-thigh." She laughed "explains a lot." "What do you mean mom?" "Well, I knew about his rep and I knew it wasn't true but one thing June and I noticed was that all the girls he made out with were the exact opposite of you." "What?" "Yeah, while you are petite, athletic, and conservative. The girls he kissed were tall, sticks, and their attire left little to the imagination. In other words, he was trying to forget you and move on so he picked girls that didn't remind him of you."

I giggled and shook my head when Brad came running in "hey mom can we live here?" My mom looked at him "baby boy I am selling the house. I will promise you this the house next to the Flynn's is for sale and I plan on buying that one. This house has too many bad memories. Not to mention being here reminds me that I lost six years of my family's life." Dad walked in and put his arm around my mom "I have to agree, buddy. I don't think we could live here knowing that your mother was held against her will and kept from us." He looked around "I never thought of that. All I thought about was that this house has a pool, a game room..." I hugged my little bro "I know Bradleybear but I have seen the house next to Lee's that's for sale since Lee and I went there one time and it has all the same things the Flynn's have except a pool but it does have a theatre room." Brad looked at me "really Shellybelly but I also want a pool." "Yep, and as for the pool if I know mom and June there will be a gate installed between the two houses and we will still have access to a pool."

Brad grinned "ok, even if we don't have our own pool at least we will be next door to Lee and Noah." "Yep, we will." I looked at my dad and saw him kiss my mom on the cheek. I grinned and lifted my eyebrow at him and couldn't help but giggle when he just blushed. "Ok, so we had a long talk and yes we are dating." I run and hug both my parents. My mom looked around "it is going to be a while kids so don't get your hopes up we might find out that we are not in love with each other anymore." I smile "I know mom but I am happy you two are trying." As if our lives were not complicated enough a woman came knocking on our door. When my mom answered the door the woman nearly fainted. "Margrett I thought you were dead." My mom looks at the woman "who are you?" "Duh, your best friend." We all looked at her "excuse me." The woman gasps "no way, your Mary."
