The girl was not happy that she was outed by our own classmates. Mr. Dawson looked at the girl you need to go to the principal's office. He handed her a slip and she glared at all of us and stormed out of the room. I shook my head "Lee I never knew being engaged to Noah would cause such drama." "I know right Twin." Mr. Dawson laughed "ok comedians let's get started on today's assignment." We all nodded and noticed a bunch of books on a cart by his desk "the principal contacted the English dept. asking if we could have you all read a book or a series of books about people being jealous because someone they love doesn't want them. They will even go out of their way to make the love interest feel bad. Also how true love will concur in the end. We have decided to go with Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maude Montgomery simply because it is easy and a quick read. In this series, the hero Gilbert Blythe falls in love with the heroine Anne Shirley and even though Josie Pye is in love with Gilbert, and practically throws herself at him every chance she gets and even drags him away from where Anne is he still will not give up on her.

They both have their ups and downs and you get to see from a girl's point of view how she tries to deny her feelings for the boy that has loved her since the first time he saw her. Lee rolled his eyes "great now I have to read the damn books you and our moms are crazy about the three of you are going to drive us crazy. I better warn Noah." I threw back my head and laughed "ahh poor Lee." I lean in "just don't tell anyone that is who I plan on dressing up as for Halloween with Noah." He groaned "great you and Noah dressed up as Anne Shirley Blythe and Gilbert Blythe." I giggle "yep and you and Patrice will be Dianna Barry Sloan and Charlie Sloan." "What do you two mean?" We look at the teacher and gulp "oops. Please keep it down." He raises his eyebrow at us. I look around "sir if you will wait we will explain after class." "Ok, good thing is the bell should ring..." The bell went off and as everyone filled out I sprung up and closed the door behind them. I looked around and Lee went to the door and guarded it so I could explain.

"OK, see I have read the entire series more times than I can count. I am in love with Anne and Gilbert. For our Halloween celebration, I had Lee agree to dress up as characters from Anne of Green Gables. I will be Anne while Lee's brother my fiancee will be Gilbert. Lee here will be Charlie Sloan and his girlfriend will be Dianna." "Oh, nice but why?" Lee chuckles because we love to dress up we even have themed birthday parties and have everyone wear costumes. We usually dress up as a team for our birthday and well Halloween. This Halloween will be the first time we will not dress up as a team as well as our birthday." I smiled "both of us decided to dress up as a team with our partners. Me with my fiancee Noah and Lee here with his girlfriend Patrice." "So, why are you keeping it a secret?" "Well, no one can know until the party." "Ok, well I expect you to read this book again for me." Lee rolls his eyes "oh, don't worry she will. She LOVES this book." I couldn't help but start laughing as I hand the book back to Mr. Dawson "I have my own copy." He nods his head "ok, but I would rather you use this copy so when I tell you what page to turn to in class you will be able to find it easier." I chuckled "sir I actually have this exact same copy. Plus I know the book so well you tell me a scenario I can pretty much find the page." He flips through the book as Lee hands me his book while Mr. Dawson clears his throat "It's all over," she informed Marilla. "I shall never have another friend. I'm really worse off than ever before, for I haven't Katie Maurice and Violetta now. And even if I had it wouldn't be the same. Somehow, little dream girls are not satisfying after a real friend. Diana and I had such an affecting farewell down by the spring. It will be sacred in my memory forever. I used the most pathetic language I could think of and said 'thou' and 'thee'. 'Thou' and 'thee' seem so much more romantic than 'you. Ok now, where is that passage." "Well first off there is a lot more than what you read but that is after Diana got drunk on what Anne thought was raspberry cordial but turned out to be red currant wine." I flipped through the book and smiled "you can find it here on page 128." He shook his head "you really do know the book." "Yep." "Please for my sanity just take the book." I nodded and took the book walking out the door.
