Peter looked at us "does that shit happen to you two a lot?"  Noah looks at him "yeah, unfortunately.  Hell, I have even had some girls tell me what Shelly doesn't know won't hurt her or please she is not good enough for you."  "Damn, Elle how do you handle that shit?"  I smile "simple Peter I know that Noah loves me no matter what."  Lee snorts "plus it has gone both ways."  Peter looks at me "really Elle?"  "Yep, hell we were at a restaurant once and had a girl proposition Noah and her brother try to hold me to console me.  He actually told me I didn't need Noah and that he would take care of me.  Lucky for us their mother was at the next table in disguise and busted them.  Turns out that we were not the first couple they have done that crap with.  Especially since they thought they should get what they wanted because their parents owned the restaurant."  LJ smiled "I am glad you two trust each other."  I look up at Noah and he smiles down at me "yes, we do.  Even when that girl texted Elle from my phone breaking up with her so she could have a shot.  My girl knew it wasn't me and defended me even when that pervert tried to hold her asking her out."  

Peter nodded "yeah, I heard about what happened to you two at practice."  He chuckled "turns out the coach wanted to make sure I understood that Elle here was off-limits and that you had been through too much.  He then warned me about her fiancee and how the guys on the team would use me as a pearl if I hurt her."   Carl laughed along with Eddie, Duncan, Link, Sebastian, Kat, and Orion.  Carl took a deep breath "he had that right.  We all came pretty damn close to using him like a soccer ball."  The rents walked in to pick up Kitty and soon after the door closed the music started blasting.  As the night dragged on and people showed up Noah and I just spent time together talking to everyone.  The girls on my team all had to go there and said they could not believe that this time next year I would be Mrs. Flynn.  I shook my head and nudged my goalie "yeah, but I will still be the same person."

I saw Noah talking to this girl as I was walking up to him and I slid up next to him wrapping my arm around his waist causing him to look down "hey Shelly baby.  I would like you to meet Lana.  She was one of the girls that you helped save.  Turns out Becs and she were friends and Becs invited Lana here so she could meet you and thank you.  She knows you don't think you did anything except save yourself from that perv, but to her, you're a hero."  I look at Lana "hi I am Elle."  "I figured when I showed up Rebecca told me that you were around somewhere and if I asked Flynn here your fiancee I could find you.  She also told me that he was devoted to you.  So, when you put your arm around him and he called you baby..."   I smile "sorry."  "No, don't be.  I asked Rebecca why she made it a point to tell me that Flynn here was your fiancee she explained that there have been members of both sexes trying to come between you two."  I smile "why do you keep calling Becs Rebecca."  "Oh, well see we were not allowed nicknames.  Justin felt that nicknames were demeaning."  I nodded my head "well that is nice to know Lana."  

She smiled at me "well I came here to thank you and well I will be on my way."  I looked at her "you can stay and enjoy the party."  "No, I only stopped by to say thank you.  I have somewhere to be.  My family and I came here to visit a family friend but turns out he is in Texas now."  I look at her "wait your Austin's friend."  "Yeah, well to be honest Austin is my half-brother.  My late mom is his dad's first wife."  I did a double-take "yeah, my dad is a lot older than Austin's mom.  Plus when I disappeared it was my fault."  Noah shook his head "no it's not your fault."  She smiled and nodded her head "actually it is.  See I was heavy into drugs and drinking because I didn't want my dad to get remarried.  I eventually met this guy when I hit rock bottom and he told me that he would help me get clean."  Noah and I both nod and she took a deep breath "the thing is he told me in order for him to help me I had to leave with him and not tell my family so it would be a surprise and he would bring me back in a year.  Well..."
