Mark's pov

"It is so weird having an empty house, but at least these littles are safe." I said on the phone to Justin.

"Dude, you have to come over tonight now that you are free. Every time I try to have you over you don't want to leave them alone."

"They are all scared, they were abused by people who just wanted the title and not take care of them."

"How does one becomes a foster parent for littles?"

"You need to be patient with them. But that dinner offer does sound good."

"Sweet, dinner will be at 6pm."

"See you there."

I ended the call looking around at the empty room. I am glad that they are moving on with their lives with people who will keep them safe and make them feel like they are normal. It sucks that people are sick out there and hurts them but at least I can help heal them.

I cleaned up a little, doing some dishes, cleaning up the living room from stuffies and blankets. Then I headed to get changed to head out. I need to do some food shopping before I head over to Jason's.

I didn't get as much as I normally do at the store, but it was still things that I needed. Once I got home I loaded everything into their right areas then got ready for dinner.

"Hey there he is!" Jason said as I got out of the car.

"Hey man. How are you?"

"Good, I feel like I haven't seen you in such a long time."

"The two littles that I had, they needed extra attention. The assholes who had them abused the fuck out of them. But they are so much better."

"Enough talk about littles." He said as we walked into his place, "Right now is an adult place."

I let out a light chuckle at him then followed him inside.

"So I have steak and some greens for dinner." He said as he headed over to his bar.

"Since when did you learn how to cook?"

"Eh, that is not important, what is important is that the game is on tonight and we will be watching the game without any interruptions."

"How much have you had to drink already?"

"A drink or two, I am fine. You know that I can clear this bar out and still not black out." He laughed as he poured himself a shot of Jack. "None for you since you will be driving."

"No, I don't drink that stuff. I will just take some pop."

"You always go for the boring stuff." He shook his head as he reached into the bar to get me a can of something.

"Eh, it is who I am and there is no one who I would rather be."

"Yeah, yeah, you and that poetry bullshit, come on let's go and eat before it gets cold."

I followed him into the kitchen.

"I am gonna put the pop in a cup." I said opening one of his cabinets.

In the way back of the cabinet there is a dirty sippy cup. I looked over at him, he was too busy to see what cabinet I was in. I grabbed a cup in the front then closed the door.

"So, now that you have some time are you going to be lady hunting?" He asked.

"Nah, I am going to work on some paperwork waiting for the next person to come to me."

"Sounds boring."

"It is all what you make of it. What time is the game?"

He looked at his watch, "Oh shit, it is already on." He grabbed his stuff rushing into the other room to put the game on.
