Amy's pov
I normally am okay with this but now I hate it. I don't understand why now this bothers me.
"What are you thinking about?" Mark asked as he wrapped his arms around me.
"How I am happy to be going to see my family but that means a whole month without waking up next to you."
"Chica and Henry will keep it warm." He said kissing on the side of my head.
"It sucks that I can't take Henry with me, he loves seeing my side of the family."
"I know, and he will miss you like crazy. We all will." He said low.
"It's just for 30 days."
As those words came out of my mouth, it was hard for me to calm down.
"I will text you every morning and every night."
"I will answer." I giggled as he turned around to face him.
"Your flight leaves in 13 hours, I think you are packed?"
"I am, I just need to pack my carry on."
"That will not take long, my laptop and switch is in my suitcase, I just need to pick out a book and some snacks."
"Snacks are always a good thing."
"They are."
We stood there for a little not saying a word until Chica started to bark.
"I got her." Mark said the let me go heading down the stairs.
I know that I have all the time in the world, but I still got my carry-on bag out and started to put my stuff in it. I packed a few books, my chargers, candy, my headphones and some gum.
"In about 10 hours I will be heading to the airport." I said low as I went down the steps.
"I will take you, to have your car in overnight parking is crazy! It will cost a butt ton of money and what if someone tries to break in. I am also not letting you Uber or Lyft to the airport."
"Thank you." I gave him a small smile.
"You are going to have such a great time with your family that you will not even know that I am not there."
"Yeah huh."
"How so?"
"When I am not around you, you feel it."
He stuck his tongue out at me, making me laugh.
"Plus, Henry is going to be all sad." I said rubbing behinds Henry's ear.
"He will be looking for you every day."
"When I facetime you, I will talk to him."
"Of course, but I did make you some food if you want to eat?"
"Thank you."
I got a plate and put my tacos together, we sat down at the table and ate.
"It will be weird eating alone for a little." Mark said low.
"I am sure Tyler and Ethan will come over."
"Yeah, but there is a difference with eating with my beautiful girlfriend and my friends."
"Have Ethan put that wig back on."
"No."
"What? He did kind of look like me." I had to hold in the laughter from picturing Ethan in the wig.
