Amy' POV
This week has been crazy, editing a lot of videos, and now drama with friends, it is not helping my mental state. I just need to relax. I walk into my apartment expecting it to be empty but there were flower petals laying on the floor leading out of the room.
"Hello?" I called out.
No answer.
I closed the door then put my bags down, I followed the petals out of the room up the steps to the bathroom.
"Hello? Please answer me, I have been watching way too many scary movies."
There was a faint chuckle then a voice,
"I would never hurt you, and Yes you do watch a lot of scary movies which I hold you until the scary parts are over."
"Mark?" I walked into the bathroom and saw him standing there with petals leading to the tub and lit candles throughout the room. "What the?"
"You have been having a stressful week so I figured I would try to help you distress. Would you like me to rub your back first or a nice relaxing soak in the tub? I will put some relaxing soaks in the water. There is also a face mask I found online that I made and later dinner will ready."
"What did I do to deserve an angel like you?" I said almost in tears.
"Please don't cry honey, you have been stressed out for a while and it is time for you to relax. I think we should go with the back rub first, I have been watching videos online and Chica seems to love it."
"That sounds wonderful," I said, he leads me into the bedroom and I laid on the bed. he started to rub my back, after a few moments I fell asleep.
"Amy, honey. I hate to wake you up but it's time for the soak." Mark said laying next to me.
"Sorry, that felt so good," I said sitting up.
" There is no need to be sorry, I put the soaks in about 5 minutes ago so they should be ready." He kissed the top of my head and helped me into the bathroom. I undress and got into the tub.
"So this mixture was pretty easy to make, I actually made some last week and tried it out because it seems too easy. It didn't damage my skin so it shouldn't hurt you." He said grabbing a bowl from the counter. "Now the website says to apply it twice, the first time you just put a base coat on and then the second time you put a lot on." He sat on the edge of the tub. "You ready?"
"Yes, please."
"Ok, I don't want to get this in your eyes so please close them."
I did as he asked, I was able to feel his fingers applying the first coat.
"It's not too cold it is?"
"Nope, it's perfect. Thank you."
It didn't take too long for him to apply it all.
"Okay, I am going to check on dinner, you rest here." I opened my eyes to see him lighting some more candles.
"Mark," I said.
"Yes?" He turned around looking at me.
"Thank you."
"Anything for you honey, now please relax." He smiled then left the room.
I don't remember smelling anything cooking when I came in so I have no idea what he is doing for dinner. I laid my head back on the tub pillow that I don't remember buying. I closed my eyes and let the soaks and mask do their jobs. After a few moments, I heard a knock on the door then Mark's voice.
"Hey thank you for getting this."
"No problem. How is spa day?" It sounded like Tyler.
"So far so good, she is up relaxing in the tub."
"Perfect, I would stay and help with the food but I got to go."
"It's all good, see you later."
The front door closed. Well, that explains why I didn't smell anything, there was a lot of noise in the kitchen, sounds like Mark looking for pans. After a few moments, the sounds were replaced with the smell of grilled chicken. I wonder if he is making pasta with it too? I looked around for my phone but then I remember I left it on my bed, oh well, it is probably better if I don't look at the group message. I need to rest and relax and not worry about the drama. I closed my eyes and rested. I don't know how long I was laying in the water but it was starting to get cold.
"Knock, knock." It was Mark. I opened my eyes to see him walking in. "Dinner is almost ready but the mask should be ready to come off." He got a wet washcloth and helped me rub it off. "Do you want me to wash your hair?"
"That would feel wonderful," I said with a huge grin on my face. He got a little bucket of clean water and pour it on my head making sure not to get it in my eyes. He sat on the tub and put some shampoo in my hair, it felt so good that I almost fell asleep again. He got more clean water and rinsed my hair and did the same thing with the conditioner. Once he was done he blows out the candles then helped me out of the tub, while I was getting changed into some clean pj's he went to check on dinner. I walked down the steps to see the table was all set up with candles and a vase of different color roses in the middle of the table.
"Mark, what is all of this for?" I asked at the bottom of the steps.
"It's for you." He said smiling. I fought back the tears, He is so good to me. "Dinner is almost ready."
"Thank you for all of this," I said sitting at the table.
"It is no problem, I should have done something sooner." He walked over with two plates of Chicken Alfredo.
"You made this from the time Tyler brought it to now? I am impressed." I said laughing.
"How do you know Tyler brought me stuff?" He asked confused.
"I heard you answer the door, and I know his voice."
"Oh, Yeah, I kinda messed the first batch up so I needed to start over but you were almost home so I asked him to run to the store for me."
"What will you not do?"
"I will do anything for you." He said kissing my cheek. "Enjoy." He sat down and we ate the wonderful food. After dinner, he would not let me help with dishes so I sat there talking to him to keep him company.
"Mark, I can't thank you enough for tonight. I really needed a break from the drama and you went out of your way for me." I wrapped my arms around him hugging him tightly.
"As long as my queen is happy then everything is perfect." he wrapped his arms around me keeping me safe.
"I know you did a lot but can I ask one more thing from you?"
"Anything."
"Stay the night."
"I would love too." He kissed my forehead then picked me up taking me to bed, He sat me on the bed taking my phone turning it off then plugging it in for me. "Your friends are not going to ruin your stress-free night with their stupid drama."
"That's what got me stressed out in the first place," I said as I pulled the blanket up.
He turned the lights out then climbed into bed with me, I snuggled up against him as he wrapped his arm around me. I looked up at him and kissed his lips.
"Thank you for tonight, I don't know how I can ever repay you for everything."
"There is no repayment need, as long as you are happy then everything is golden."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
