Amy's pov
"Are you ready?" He asked as he walked into our bedroom.
"Almost." I smiled at him after I finished putting my boots on.
"No, I told you that you can not be taller than me!" He freaked out.
"Carter." I closed my eyes then said, "It's just a tiny heel. You will live." I opened my eyes as I stood up.
"Amy, you need to change your shoes, we can not go out with you being taller than me. All of my friends will laugh at me!"
"Why do you care so much what your dorky friends think of you?"
"They are not dorky."
"You care way too much about this." I shook my head. "Look, these boots go great with my outfit, plus the sidewalks are covered in snow and ice. I need something to help me from falling."
"I will help you."
"Like you did last time and I fell on my face."
"I was going to fall so I let you go so I didn't fall."
"Carter, we are late as it is and I am not doing this right now. We need to go."
I stomped past him getting my phone and my purse.
"I will drive." I said getting the keys.
"No, I will drive." He took the keys out of my hand.
"Why can't I drive?"
"It is My car."
"And I help with the payments."
"It's in my name."
"Then I will not help make a payment, or pay for gas."
"Hey, I have to get food that you eat with that car."
I shook my head then headed to the car.
"Did you put make-up on?" He asked as he was driving.
"Yeah, just a little. My face is so pale today."
"You don't need to waste your money on that shit."
"Well, I wanted to. It is my money so I will do what I want with it."
We didn't say anything to each other for the rest of the ride, when we got to the restaurant I jumped out of the car and walked with him to his friends.
They all started to talk to each other like I am not there, I sat down next to the other girlfriends in the corner.
"I love your boots!" Sherry said as I sat down next to her.
"Thank you! I got them a few years ago."
"I never see you in them!"
"Eh." I waved her off, I don't feel like getting into the conversation about how Carter hates me in heels.
"How is everyone?" Bella asked then took a sip of her wine.
I tuned everyone out as I looked at the menu, they all talk about the same shit everytime we go out. Nothing new ever happens with them.
"Oh my god, Amy?"
I looked to the voice seeing Maggie.
"Maggie!" I jumped up hugging her.
"I haven't seen you in such a long time."
"Sorry." I said low.
"Who is this?" Carter asked, walking over to us.
