Amy's Pov
"Okay, go up and get ready for bed, I want both of you teeth brushed and in bed in 20 minutes," I said as I took my coat off. The kids run up the steps.
"I didn't think we would be out this late," Mark said hanging my coat up for me.
"They will be tired at school tomorrow, looks like they are going to bed early tomorrow night."
"That can be a good thing, plus they are only in elementary school, it's not like they are learning difficult stuff."
I felt my husband's lips on my neck.
"I'm too tired tonight honey, how about tomorrow when they are in bed."
"Deal." He said as he pulled me in for a kiss. "How about I get one child and you get the other and you can go to bed early?"
"That sounds good," I said smiling.
I got our daughter as Mark got our son ready.
"Mom, can we skip school tomorrow?" She asked as I walked up the steps.
"No, you are going to bed now and have plenty of sleep for school."
"Ugh, Fine." She disappeared into her room.
I walked into our room and got ready for bed when I was done I checked on the kids.
"All ready?" I asked walking onto my daughter's room.
"Yep!"
I gave her a kiss goodnight then tucked her in.
"See you in the morning honey, I love you."
"Night momma, I love you too."
I turned her light off then closed her door.
"Kids are all tucked in," Mark said closing our son's door.
"Thank you, I am going to bed," I said giving him a kiss.
"I'll be in later, I'm gonna watch tv."
"Kk, I love you."
"I love you too."
I headed into the room as he walked down the steps, a couple of hours pass and Mark climbs into bed with me.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." He says as I roll over cuddling into him.
"It's okay, I wasn't able to sleep too well anyways."
"Is everything okay?" He held me tight.
"Yep, now I have you here it is."
I snuggled into him and fell to sleep fast.
"Amy, honey wake up." Mark picked me up.
"What's wrong?" I asked slowly waking up.
"Someone is in the house, get the kids into one room. I will take care of the intruder."
I jumped out of his arms and ran to my daughter's room, I picked her up and carried her to my son's room.
"Mom?" He asked when I closed the door.
"Come over here, quietly."
He rushed over to me.
"What's wrong?" He asked holding my side.
