Amy's pov"Come on guys." I smiled as they ran down the steps. "Once we are done eating, we need to pack up so I can take you to go meet dad."
Both my kids rushed down the steps to the kitchen, I had breakfast already ready. It is our normal every other weekend meal: pancakes, bacon, eggs, and toast.
"When we come back, can we watch that movie?" Luke asked as he sat down.
"No, that movie is too scary for you. You are going to have nightmares." I said, walking into the room.
"Momma, I don't want to watch it." Luna said as she tried to sneak some bacon from the table.
"You are not watching it, now dig in."
It didn't take long for them to clear their plates.
"Mom, remember you said that you will be there on Monday at my school!" Luke said as he washed his dishes.
"Yes, I will not miss spending a day with you for anything!" I smiled at him.
"It's the school fair, I helped put some of the games together!"
"I can't wait to play them."
He looked up at me with the biggest smile ever. He looks just like his dad when he smiles like that.
"You okay mom?" Luna asked.
"Yeah, everything is fine but we are running late."
I hurried up and helped them pack the last few things that they need then rushed them into the car. When we got to the park, Mark's car was waiting in the same spot as always. I pulled a few spots away from him, like always, and helped the kids out of the car.
"There they are!" Mark said as the kids ran to him, giving him hugs.
I slowly walked over to them still holding their bags.
"Don't forget these." I said.
Once Mark let them go, they ran over giving me hugs and kisses.
"You be good for your father, I will see you guys in two weeks." I said, kneeling down to their level.
"Yes momma." They said together.
"I love you both."
"Love you too momma!" They said together again.
They rushed to Mark's car putting their stuff in there.
"Luke wants to watch that new scary movie, the one where the spider is coming out of the boys mouth and eyes. I told him no." I said to Mark as I stood up.
"That one looks so cool." He smiled the same smile Luke gave me this morning.
"Yeah, well not for a 7 year old, he will have nightmares for a month."
"Yeah, I guess. Do you have any plans tonight?"
"Clean the apartment and get ready for work. It is quiet when they are not there."
"I know that one, um. Same time in two weeks?"
"Same place."
I gave him a small wave as I got back into my car. I watched as Mark got into his car then drove away with the kids. I felt the tears fall from my eyes as the car went out of my view. I don't even remember why we got a divorce; I just remember both of us not being happy. But I really do miss him. I miss us being a family, but he signed the papers, which means he is over me. And we will never be a family again. I wiped my tears and then headed to the store.
