Amy's pov
"I wish you didn't have to go to this meeting." I said to Mark as I walked over to him in the kitchen.
"I know, but I will be back as soon as it is done." He wrapped his arms around me.
"I know, but it's not fair. You have to give up time with the little one for this stupid meeting."
"Not only am I giving up time with the little one, I am giving up time with you." He kissed the top of my head.
I didn't say anything, I just snuggled into him trying to savor our time together.
"I want to find a new job, one that doesn't pull me away from you two." He said low in my ear, "the only thing that is keeping me at this place is the pay."
"I have no problem getting a job." I looked up at him.
"I thought you wanted to be a stay at home mom?"
"I do, but if it means that you can spend more time with the little one then I will do it."
"Nope, you will stay here and I will be the one working. I am not putting you through all of that again."
I closed my eyes snuggling into his chest, the job I quit a few weeks before I had our child. They put me through hell, and when I told them that I was taking my baby leave they yelled at me saying that I was a horrible worker. Mark found out when I came home in tears. He called my boss and cussed him out then quit for me.
"You will never have to deal with them again." He said playing with my hair.
"I was scared to tell you."
"You don't need to be scared to tell me anything."
"I was more worried that you would beat the fuck out of him and I would have to bail you out of jail."
"Eh, I would have called Tyler or Ethan to get me out. That would have been too much stress on you."
"Do you have to go?"
"Yes, I missed the last meeting and if I miss this one they will fire me."
He kissed the top of my head again.
"I think we will go to the park today, it's a little cold out but I think we can use some fresh air." I said looking up at him.
"That would be nice, I think Levi would love that."
"When you are done with your meeting, can you please meet us in the park?'
"Of course! But I do need to go, I wanna say bye to Levi."
He let me go then headed up to the nursery, I got some bottles together and packed a little lunch bag for myself and some baby food for Levi.
" He is getting so big." Mark said, walking back into the room.
"He is only 5 months old."
"I know, I remember when he was only 5 days old. How tiny he was."
"Just wait until he is 5 years old."
"I don't think I am ready for that."
"He should still be sleeping, we will go to the park when he wakes up."
Right on cue, Levi started to cry.
"I got him, go.rock that meeting."
I walked up to him and gave him a kiss.
"I love you." he said.
"I love you too."
As I went up to see Levi Mark left for work.
