Amy's Pov
"I don't understand why you are going on a date with Nick," Ashley said to me as I curled my hair.
"I have known him for a while now, it's just one date."
"You need to be dating Mark."
"He has a girlfriend who he is cooking dinner for tonight."
"How do you know that?"
"He told me, he called and asked what he should make."
"So he cares about your opinion."
"Just help me get ready, he is taking me to some restaurant and I don't want to look bad."
"Okay, but I don't understand why he is not picking you up?"
"he offered but something is telling me that I need to take my car."
"What do you mean?"
"I have a feeling he is going to drink, I will need to take him home."
She rolled her eyes then helped me get ready, it didn't take too long since I wasn't getting all dressed up. Just something nice, as I was putting my shoes on my phone went off.
"Hello?" I answered it.
"Hey, it's Nick, so I am going to text you the address, I am heading out now so I will be there in about 20 minutes."
"Okay! I am getting my shoes on now and I'll head out."
"Great! See you soon!"
we ended the call.
"So where is he taking you?"
I looked it up,
"Glad I didn't get too dressy, it's a bar."
"Good thing you are taking your car. Text me when your there and when you are home!"
"Will do."
When I got there, the place didn't have a lot of people in it but it was loud.
"Amy!" Nick said hugging me.
"Hey, Nick! How are you?" I asked.
"Better now that you are here, I was so nervous I had a few drinks already."
"Are you going to be okay to drive?" There is a ton of seats but for some reason, he is standing at the bar.
"Oh yeah, I do this all the time, so what would you like to order?" He handed me the menu.
I looked it over, nothing really date-worthy.
"Um, I'll just take some sliders."
"Hey! bar lady." He said.
"She has a name," I said glaring at him.
"Yeah, so I want the nachos and some fries, my girl wants the sliders."
I rolled my eyes at him.
"So what took you so long?" He asked me.
"I got lost, there is a street that's closed and the GPS didn't know that I had to turn around and find a new way but it turned me back to that closed street."
He didn't say anything, he just glared at me.
"So, do you come here a lot?" I asked.
"When I want. The food is really good."
"I'm excited to try it."
"Bar lady! Can I get another drink?"
"Are you sure you will be okay to drive? I can drive you home later."
