"You got everything, honey?" You asked as you watched Lily throw her favorite outfit into her bag as you stood from the doorway, supervising as the small girl packed her suitcase and carry-on bag.
She might be only six, but she insisted that she pack the suitcase she could probably fit into all by herself. She's throwing things inside as her small legs carry her from her dresser and back to her bed, then back to the dresser to repeat the cycle again and again.
"Not really organized, are you?" You teased and stepped closer as she pulled the top of the suitcase down.
"My bunny!" She said as she reached for the stuffed bunny that was against the pillows that Rosie gave her when they first met.
That's her favorite thing in the world now; a guest at every tea party she throws that gets a better seat than you and Rosie do when she asks you to play. You're not complaining; it's so sweet. She's refused to let it go and now more than ever when Rosé is away on tour with the girls.
She left last month. It's been hard on you without her there. But it's even harder on Lily, who is attached to Rosie's hip and loves to follow her everywhere she goes.
She was devastated when she realized she couldn't tag along on tour. It just wasn't safe. Everything is much too chaotic and you couldn't be there due to your own work.
The upside is that you've got a lot of vacation days saved up and get to use some for a trip out to see Rosé and the girls. You're so excited, but oh, your little girl is even more excited than you.
You folded up a few of her clothes inside that kept you from being able to close it. You quickly zipped it up and then looked at Lily with a big smile.
"Ready?"
"Yes!" She screamed excitedly, jumping off the bed as she carried her bunny in one hand and ran out of the room, only to return when she decided you were moving too slowly and took your hand into her small one to tug you out of the room and downstairs.
You made sure everything was packed and ready to go before you locked the house up behind you and got into the car that waited to drive you both off to the airport. You buckled her up and watched her stare out the window and swing her legs against the seat until you arrived at the airport a little while later.
The driver helped you make sure you had everything and got inside the airport before driving off. The airport was crowded with people planning on vacationing and visiting loved ones. You stood at the gate with Lily, waiting impatiently until you could board the plane.
When you got on the plane a little while later, she was tired and watched out the window until she fell asleep with her head hung and her bunny against her chest. You tucked her in and decided to watch the view of the skyline until you landed.
After you got off the plane and grabbed all of your luggage, you excitedly turned to Lily and asked, "Ready to go see her now?"
Her eyes lit up and, again, she was dragging you along through the airport and out to the car that waited for you.
She was impatient the whole way. The arena was only twenty or so minutes away, but she was so excited that, to her, it felt like hours.
"Are we there yet?"
"Not yet, honey."
"Are we there yet now?"
"Nope."
"Now?!" She asked a moment later and you looked her way, finding her giggling at you.
"We'll be there soon, baby. I promise. We've waited a month, we can wait ten more minutes. Right?"
"No." She said and looked out the window again, making you shake your head with a laugh.
You arrived a few minutes later and got your things before entering the arena. Lisa was waiting for you since she's the only one you told about coming. She was gonna hug you tight, throw her arms around you and tell you that she was happy to see you and tell you just how much Rosie's been talking to you.
But then, a tiny voice called out her name, and tiny arms wrapped around her legs and her attention was more on Lily instead.
"Oh, hi!" She smiled and hugged Lily tightly. "I bet you're excited! How was your flight? Did you have fun?"
"I slept." She replied, making Lisa look at you with a laugh.
"Well then, I bet you are just full of energy and happiness and you're probably so excited to Rosie again, huh?"
"Yeah!"
Lisa put her back on her feet and helped you with the bags while managing to give you a hug before leading you down through the backstage area and down the hall.
"She's been missing you both like crazy. Sher never stops talking about you." Lisa said as you made your way to the dressing room. "Jisoo and Jennie are out doing some shopping and stuff, so it's just her in there."
You nodded and stood in front of the door.
"So how should we tell her we're here?" You asked Lisa, only for Lily to stand on her tallest tiptoes and turn the knob before running inside and yelling out 'mom!'.
"No need to wonder about that now, huh?" Lisa teased, elbowing you jokingly. "So happy you're both here. Have fun. See you later."
"Bye, Lisa. Thanks for all the help!"
She nodded and walked down the hall so the three of you could have some time together.
You stood in the doorway and saw Rosie holding Lily in her arms. Lily's arms wrapped around Rosie's neck, both of them so happy they could cry.
"So? When do I get a hug?"
Rosé opened her eyes, gasping when she saw your face.
"Now! Come here!"
You rushed to her and hugged her tightly.
"I can't believe you're both here! It feels like I'm dreaming."
You pecked her lips and smiled against them.
"It's not a dream, my love. We're here. We missed you so much."
"Oh, I missed you too." She sniffled. "Both of you. I love you."
"Love you, mom," Lily said excitedly.
Rosé giggled then carefully set her on her feet, only for Lily to hug her legs.
"How long do I have you both here for?'
"A little under two weeks."
Rosie's eyes lit up and she kissed you lovingly.
"Surprise!" Lily said, interrupting your kiss with Rosie.
"The best surprise! Oh, I missed my girls! How about I treat you all to ice cream and you can tell me about your flight?"
Lily cheered and let go of Rosé's legs, only to take her hand instead.
"Sounds perfect." You smiled and kissed Rosie's cheek sweetly before you both walked out the door, ready to start the first of many days that you get to spend together; the three of you.
