(Y/N)'s POV

"Come on, (Y/N)! You can do better than that!" Finn taunted as he blocked my attack, making me breathe out a chuckle.

"Don't get too cocky now, little hero," I retorted as we continued to fence while Jake was on the sidelines, watching us.

"Wooh! Go Finn and (Y/N)!" he excitedly cheered as Finn sent his final blow, making my sword fly across the field.

Finn pointed his sword to me, making me raise my hands in defeat.

"Alright, I give," I smiled in defeat as Finn's eyes lit up.

"All right!" Finn cheered as he jumped around.

I breathed out a smile as I grabbed my sword,

"Getting a little rusty, (N/N)?" Jake joked as he nudged my side, making me roll my eyes.

"It's more like Finn's getting better," I complimented as the boy enjoyed his victory.

"Don't sweat it, dude! How about we go on an adventure later? Getting back to the battlefield!" Jake suggested, but I shook my head.

"Bubblegum's gonna host a ball later tonight, remember? We can't be late," I reminded as I picked up my bottle of water.

"You mean your welcome home party? It'll be fine!" he slapped my back, making me spit slightly.

"We can finish before it even starts," Jake reassured, putting an arm around my shoulders.

"Plus, Finn's really missed going on adventures with you," he whispered as Finn ran up to us.

"What're you guys talking about?" he asked obliviously.

"Nothing much," I replied as I drank my water.

"Well, look who we have here!" a familiar voice beamed as an ominous shadow loomed over me.

"Good to see you too, Marceline," I smiled as the vampire queen faced me upside down.

"Hey, Marcy!" Finn greeted as he packed his stuff.

Marceline nodded at Finn before facing me again.

"You should've told us that you were coming back," she grinned, flipping around and landing in front of us.

"Then it wouldn't be a surprise now, would it?" I replied as I put away my bottle.

"What brings you back to the Land of Ooo?" she asked, crossing her arms with a playful smile.

"What can I say?" I grinned as I pulled both Finn and Jake to my side, "I missed these two knuckleheads too much," I noogied their heads, making them groan.

"Not cool, dude!" Finn pouted as he fixed his hat.

"Are they the only ones you missed?" she asked, lifting her feet off the ground.

"Of course I missed you," I chuckled, making her smile, "I missed everyone," I continued as I fixed my things, not seeing the frown on the girl's face.

"Are you going to PB's ball?" I asked, slinging my bag onto my shoulder.

"Are you going?" I nodded my head, "then yeah, I don't see why not," she shrugged as she floated away.
