When Seungsik dropped Gayoung off at Seungwoo's hotel after work, she was more certain than ever that his talk with Yejin hadn't gone well.

First of all, Yejin had stormed out back into the playroom and had taken Jieun without a word. Second, Seungsik didn't come out of his office after that. Gayoung had to dismiss all the kids pretty much by herself. When she went into his office, his hands were covering his face, and when she spoke to him, he answered her with one or two words.

The longest thing he said to her was "do you want me to drop you off?" when she'd gotten a call from Seungwoo, who asked if she wanted to come over to his hotel. Apparently, Sejun felt bad about missing the amusement park outing and wanted to meet her.

She had homework, but still, choosing between meeting Seungwoo and doing homework was easy. Of course, she choose Seungwoo.

Seungsik dropped her off and drove away without a word. She spent one more second worrying about him, but all her thoughts scattered when she saw Seungwoo.

How was he this gorgeous? It wasn't fair.

This time he was working behind the front desk, but he stopped working as soon as he saw her.

"You're here!" he said happily, throwing a hand over her shoulders and leading her to the seating area. She felt her heart beat faster at their close contact, and was certain that she was blushing slightly.

It didn't help when she saw Sejun.

"It's nice to finally meet you," Sejun said, getting up as Seungwoo and Gayoung walked over.

My, was he pretty.

"Nice... me too... nice to meet you too," she said after a moment. It seemed like she'd lost the ability to form coherent sentences.

Sejun didn't seem to notice. He sat back down on the bench, and she sat down next to him. She was sitting in the middle of Sejun and Seungwoo.

How lucky was she?

She could see other girls looking at her enviously, and suppressed the urge to laugh. But when she looked at Sejun again, any laughter died in her throat.

"I'm sorry for missing the outing," he told her sincerely. "I was looking forward to it, really. I was excited to meet you. Subin speaks so highly of you. But I... there was a problem at my girlfriend's house," he explained, his eyes getting sadder by the second. Now that she looked closer, maybe it wasn't just sadness. Maybe it was lovesickness.

He looked so sad that she wanted to reach forward and give him a big hug, but figured that might not be appreciated. Not when they'd just met.

"Don't be sorry," she told him, giving him a smile. "I just hope your problem got resolved."

Sejun gave her a sad smile. "Believe me, I think it'll take a miracle for our problem to get resolved."
