Miran wished that she could calm the rapid beating of her heart as she walked towards the room where Sejun was waiting. He'd rented out one of those private karaoke rooms. She could hear a love song playing. A sad one, at that.

"You didn't have to break my heart even more," she whispered to herself as she opened the door. She took a deep breath... and walked inside.

He had been waiting. Pacing, it seemed. One glance at him, and she could tell how nervous he'd been while waiting. How worried he'd been that she wouldn't be able to come.

"Miran!" he said, rushing over to her. In one move, he locked the door behind them while simultaneously pulling her into his arms.  "You're here," he whispered, holding her tight. "You're really here."

She laughed, blinking the tears out of her eyes as she hugged him back. "It's been a while, hasn't it?" she said. She was trying to keep the mood light, but her voice broke as she said it, and the tears she'd been holding back finally escaped.

Sejun leaned out of the embrace and cupped her face in both hands, staring at her as though he couldn't believe she was really in front of him again. She could hardly believe it too.

He lowered his lips to hers, closing the space between them, and kissed her. He pushed her back one step, two steps, until her back was pressed against the door. Her hands found their way to the lapels of his jacket and she held on, pulling him as close as she could as they kissed. Tears were still falling from her eyes, and it seemed like he was crying too.

"I missed you," he murmured, pulling away for a breath.

And then he kissed her again.

When they pulled apart the next time, she wrapped her arms around his waist and placed her head on his rapidly beating chest. "I missed you too," she said softly. "But I've been watching your modeling career," she said, smiling up at him. "You're doing wonderfully, and gaining so much popularity nowadays. I'm so proud of you."

"You are?" he said, a cute smile on his face. "And what have you been up to? How's your mom?"

Miran's smile faltered a little. "She's doing fine. The hospital bills are steep though, so that's why-"

"Why you had to drop out," he said softly, a serious expression on his face. "Miran... why won't you let me help you? You know that I can pay for her hospital bills. Or your school. Or both."

She smiled, holding his hands. She interlaced their fingers together. "That's okay," she said after a moment. "I'll handle my problems on my own. Besides, I don't want to give your parents another reason to hate me. I'm sure they won't like my accepting your money."

"Why don't we just get married?" he whined, pouting at her. "If we elope, none of these money issues would be a problem."

She couldn't help laughing. "Are you kidding? It totally would be. Your parents would absolutely cut you off from funds, you know that."

"I want to get married," he said stubbornly.

"I do too," she told him. "But you're going to have to wait until after I finish school," she said, tippy-toeing to give him another kiss.

A devilish smile came to his face as he pulled her towards him again and lowered his lips to hers.
