"Where are you going now?" Seungsik asked Gayoung, opening the door for her.

"Back to the dorms," she sighed. "Where else? I have to get dinner and then I still have homework left to do." She dragged a hand over her face. "I'm going to be up so late."

"I was wondering... if I could treat you to dinner tonight? Before you go back to the dorms?"

Gayoung looked at him in surprise. "What? Why?"

He laughed at her surprised face, it was cute. "Because whenever a new employee comes, at least one of us has to treat them to dinner. Mrs.Choi is busy today, so she can't come, but I can treat you. What do you say?"

She sighed, "I'm going to be up so late," she repeated. "But sure, let's go. I'll worry about my homework later."

"Want me to try helping you with some of it? Since I'm keeping you out. Or I can treat you tomorrow if you want!"

"Today's fine," she said, laughing and shaking her head at him. "And don't worry about it. I'll be fine. Let's just go enjoy dinner, hm?"

"Let's go!" he said brightly, offering her his arm.

"Such a gentleman," she teased, taking it. "So, tell me something about yourself," she said after a moment. "Like... how did you start working here? How are you so good with kids?"

"Well," he started. "My parents at professors, they work where you and Subin go to school. So they naturally wanted me to follow in their footsteps. But as I started learning more and more about education... I just really wanted to work with younger kids. They're so cute, don't you think? And then I did some research, found this place, and here we are!"

"Here we are," she repeated with a smile. "You're a natural with kids. Do you have younger siblings?"

"No younger siblings," he laughed. "I guess I just have a way with kids? Maybe?"

"Definitely," Gayoung agreed. "So, maybe you can tell me something that I've been curious about?"

"Depends. What is it?"

"How'd you meet Subin? How'd all of you guys become friends? And have I met all of his close friends? I feel like I'm meeting new people every day now, and it's rather overwhelming. I was used to keeping to myself."

He laughed at her questions. She was direct and honest. He appreciated that.

"Well, to answer your last question first I'll need to know who you've met so far. As for the first two questions, I'll let Subin answer those," he said, unsure as to whether or not Subin disclosed a certain part of who he was.

"I met Byungchan and Hanse."

"Okay well, then you have three more to go. Seungwoo, Chan, and Sejun."

"There's seven of you?!" she exclaimed. "That's a large group of best friends."

"Is it?" he asked. "It never feels large to us. And, maybe we're adding one more," he said, looking down at her.

"Really? Who?"

"You, silly," he laughed, rolling his eyes at her playfully. "We have to get you some food. Clearly, you're not thinking right. You're probably hungry."

"Yep, that's definitely it," she agreed sarcastically. "So let's hurry."
