Subin left Byungchan and Gayoung in the gardens, as he ran in to fetch their ice cream. She wanted to find the place that Seungwoo had worked on, and see how it came out, but this seemed to be a different part of his gigantic house. She didn't see anything that she recognized from last time.
Byungchan led her over to a small seating area, and they sat side by side on one of those swinging garden chairs.
She realized that this was her first time alone with Byungchan, and suddenly felt a bit nervous. He, like Subin and all his friends, was very handsome.
"So... how's acting going?" she said, immediately cringing at her awkwardness. She wrung her hands together nervously, hoping that Subin would get back quickly so it wouldn't be awkward.
Byungchan didn't say anything for a moment, and when she finally mustered up her courage to look at him, he had an expression of amusement on his face.
"Why are you nervous?" he asked, shaking his head teasingly at her.
"I'm sitting on this swinging chair with a famous actor, who also may or may not be my friend, and who is also super handsome. So handsome that it's making me nervous," she muttered, staring at her shoes. Her old, worn-in sneakers, next to his. His looked new, looked like they probably cost a fortune.
"Shouldn't I be the nervous one?" he said.
Gayoung laughed, looking up at him again. "Why?"
He brought his face closer to hers, causing her heart to skip a beat.
"Because I'm sitting next to a pretty girl," he teased.
"Stop teasing," she whined, pushing him away playfully.
He laughed. "Sorry," he said, not looking sorry at all. "But to answer your question... acting is going fine," he said, suddenly frowning at the floor.
"What's wrong?"
Byungchan sighed, leaning back and closing his eyes. "You'll find out tomorrow. Now I'm being forced to act even when I'm not on set."
Gayoung waited for him to explain what he meant, but he didn't. They just stayed in that silence.
