When Gayoung saw Subin in the hallway, she ran up to him and immediately had him in a headlock. She ignored some of the students looking at them strangely. She ignored Byungchan, who'd been walking with Subin, and was now laughing at the surprising interaction. She was focused on one thing, and one thing only.

"My pencil case!" she said, her voice raised slightly as she glared at Subin, who was trying to pull away from her. He was trying to keep a straight face, but Byungchan laughing made it impossible, and soon he was laughing too.

But Gayoung refused to let herself laugh, no matter how hard it was to keep a straight face. "Where is it?" she demanded.

"If you let go of me, I could give it to you," Subin teased, and she let go of him.

That was a mistake. As soon as she let go of him, he made a break for it.

"Hey!" she yelled, running after him. Byungchan ran beside her, their antics making him laugh again.

"Why are you so worked up over a pencil case?" Byungchan teased as they ran after Subin.

"Excuse me?" she said, shooting him a glare, though she couldn't help smiling at him. "Well Mr.Actor, maybe it's easy for you to just go buy new pens, but I'm trying to save money," she told him indignantly. "Plus, I really like my pens. They're pretty."

They turned the corner, continuing to run after Subin, but almost crashed into him and Hanse.

"I figured he was running from you two," Hanse said, shaking his head at the three of them. He was holding onto Subin's arm, and Gayoung reached into Subin's bookbag, taking her pencil case back.

Subin stuck his tongue out at her, and she rolled her eyes in return.

"You little thief," she teased. "I ought to report you."

"You would never," Subin said, pouting at her. "You love me too much."

"Hmm... we'll see about that," she told him playfully.

"Are you guys all free now?" Subin asked, changing the subject. "Gayoung... I want to tell you something. And I don't want to do it alone," he said, glancing at Byungchan and Hanse.

Gayoung suddenly felt nervous. What could he possibly have to tell her?

"I have a class right now," Hanse said apologetically.

"I'm free," Byungchan said, putting a hand on Subin's shoulder. Byungchan's eyes and expression said that he knew exactly what Subin was going to tell her.

But she had no idea.

Subin turned back to her, a small smile on his face. "Want to come to my place for ice cream?"
