"You know, Gayoung was right," Seungwoo told Seungsik as he got into the passenger seat of the car. "You do look terrible."

Seungsik sighed, looking exhausted. "I know."

He's too exhausted to even fight back.

"What are you doing tonight?"

"More paperwork. I'm trying to get it done so I can buy the place soon. The owners really want to sell and I'm scared that if they do... that'll be the end of the daycare. Then what will she, I mean what will all the parents do? They rely on us to watch their kids while they work and stuff. And the kids like it too. I have to fight for the place."

"Can't you just ask your parents?"

"I thought about that. But I wanted to run my own place eventually. I would have had to do all this at some point anyway, so may as well be now."

"Do you have night class again?"

Seungsik groaned, leaning his head back. "Yeah. I have to go to these classes in order to get the certification. I shouldn't have put this off," he grumbled. "I should have done it years ago. But I was too scared my parents were going to say no."

Seungwoo laughed, trying to lighten the mood. "Your parents were always the most understanding."

"I'm lucky," he agreed. "Where are you treating me to dinner?"

"Chan's place."

"I can't wait," Seungsik sighed. "I'm starving. I've been starving for days but I've had no appetite."

Seungwoo frowned, glancing at his friend as he pulled into Chan's giant driveway. Seungsik looked like he hadn't eaten in days. He was glad Gayoung texted. She was right to be worried. He looked sick.

"Hopefully this food will get back your appetite," he said lightly. They all liked the food at Chan's place. They had a spectacular cook. And unlike a lot of their houses, his was usually pretty empty. Or at least, his parents were hardly there. It was a good place to hang out, and they would be there more often, if they could. But Chan tended to spend most of his free time at the movie theatre. Especially lately. It seemed like the last fight with his parents had shaken him up more than he cared to admit.

Seungwoo shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. One problem at a time. For now, he had to focus on Seungsik. He had to focus, or else he wouldn't be able to handle everything.

They got out of the car. Seungwoo turned to say something to Seungsik, just in time to see his friend stand up, lean against the car, and promptly fall to the floor.

"Seungsik!" he shouted, running over to his friend. He heard shouting, and when he looked up, Chan was running towards them too. Seungwoo desperately tried to get Seungsik up, but he was already unconscious.
