34. Meeting my room

Towards the end of lunch Billy did come back to school. He said that he had to go to see his sister about something. I asked, because my annoying curiosity got the better of me as usual, and he said it was something about his mom. I left it a that. My curiosity was satisfied. The last lessons we had was art and science which both went past quickly.

"How are you getting home?" Billy asked me as we walked out of the school together at the end of the day. Around us lots of other students rushed out the school as well, but Billy and I just took our time.
"I don't know. I think I was going to walk." I began but when I looked up I saw a yellow taxi with two people inside it.

I grinned widely when from out of the window came a clenched fist.
"Bro fist!" A silly voice, that could only be Felix's said and I laughed and touched my own clenched fist to his. He laughed and opened the taxi door.
"Hey kid." he said opening his arms for me to hug him, which I did tightly. I saw that in the seat next to Felix, was Nora. Not Marzia.

"Hi Minty." She said with her loving and warm smile. I said hi to her and pulled away from Felix.
"Bro fist!" Billy said with voice that was silly, like Felix's, and he held up his clenched fist trying to look cool. Felix stared at him with a blank, almost serious look. Billy's smile disappeared and he slowly lowered his fist. I frowned at him then last Felix. What was that about.

"Felix, don't be so mean." Nora said and Felix gulped looking back at Nora.
"Okay," he muttered and sighed holding up his fist again. "Bro fist..." He said quietly and Billy cheered in victory.
"Thanks Felix!" He exclaimed and touched Felix's fist with his own. Felix then rested his hand on his knee as Billy danced around sillily.

"I've started to watch your videos Felix, your absolutely awesome." Billy said with a big smile. Both me and Felix's eyebrows raised sharply.
"Really?" Felix said and Billy nodded.
"I'm a bro as well." Billy said and I swear Felix smiled a little. Just a little.
"Cool." Felix said to him then turned to me. "Get in, we're taking you back to the orphanage."

Felix said and I nodded then turned to Billy.
"Are you getting picked up?" I asked and he nodded.
"My sister Hayley should be here soon." He said and I nodded.
"Okay," I said and got into the taxi. Felix closed the door but rolled down the window. "Bye Billy!" I called and he waved at me as the taxi set off.

After about 15 minutes we got back to the orphanage. I asked Felix why Marzia wasn't with him and he left me hanging saying I could ask her when we got back. He knows I'm curious and he also knows I hate not knowing why! When Nora payed for the taxi and we all got out, I grabbed Felix by the arm and dashed up the steps to the door.

"Come on come on come on!" I chanted excited. Nora laughed at me taking out her keys from her small handbag and unlocked the front door. When she opened it I ran in to kick off my shoes and take off my jacket.
"Hello?" A voice called from the living room. It was Marzia of course.

"Marzia!" I said as I ran into the living room. She was stood near the arm chair with a smile and her arms open widely.
"Hi Minty." She said as I ran to her. I three my arms around her waist and she put hers on my back hugging me.
"I missed you." I said as she crouched to my level.

"I missed you too sweetie." She said with a warm smile. Kind of like Nora's smile.
"Why didn't you go with Felix in the taxi?" I asked. Felix came into the room and sat on the couch nearby. Nora I think went into the kitchen.
"I wasn't feeling well." She replied and I frowned. Marzia was quiet healthy when I met her, so why would she be ill now?

"Why weren't you feeling well?" I asked and I heard Felix chuckle. I turned my head to look at him as he sat lazily on the couch.
"Just tell her Marzia." he said and I frowned at Marzia again.
"Tell me what?" I asked as Marzia stood up.
"I have something to tell you Minty." She began and I nodded.

"Well, you can tell me in my room," I began grabbing her hand. "I have something to tell you too Marzia." I added dragging Marzia towards the wooden stairs. We quickly trotted up the steps then to my room which was the first room on the right. Marzia pushed open my bedroom door to reveal my bedroom.
"Wow," she said looking around.

The walls of my bedroom were painted blue and green and the floor was light wood. My single bed placed up against the right wall with white sheets and pillows with my pikachu onesie folded neatly on top of it. I had a window, that was luckily not broken or boarded up, on the far side of the room with leaf green curtains pulled back.

My wardrobe was placed on the left wall directly opposite the bottom of my bed. It was made of wood that was slightly darker than the floor and it was quiet tall. On the floor was my favourite, and only, stuffed toy Peanuts. He was brown pug that had a red bow tie around his neck.

"Aww," Marzia said when she saw peanuts on the floor. I smiled as she walked over and picked him up.
"He's so cute." she said cuddling him. I giggled and sat down on my bed.
"Yeah, that's Peanuts." I said and she held him in front of him.
"Why is he called Peanuts?" Marzia asked and I shrugged.

"It was the first thing that came to my mind when I got him." I replied as she sat down laughing.
"His definitely yours." She said and handed him to me. I frowned playfully then played around with Peanuts for a bit.
"So what did you want to tell me?" Marzia and I both said at the exact same time. We laughed again before I spoke.
"You go first." I said and she nodded.
