71. Meeting Brighton

~Minty~

"Minty." A voice said. "Minty wake up." another deeper voice said. Am I having another nightmare? I wondered to myself. I opened my eyes to see my parents looking down at me.
"Wake up mintypie." mom said to me with her soft voice and I sat up slowly. Dad grinned at me then he picked me up into his arms and I rubbed my sleepy eyes.

"Why are you waking me up?" I asked whining a little and dad chuckled.
"Because we're at home now sleepy head." dad said and I filled up with excitement.
"Really?!" I exclaimed and he nodded.
"Yep, we're in Brighton train station now." mom said and she picked up hers and dad's suit cases. I had my back pack on my back and dad picked up my pink suitcase. He was stronger then I though.

"Come on," mom said as we stepped off the train and onto the platform. It wasn't extremely busy and on the platform were a couple of red benches, some bins and a sign saying 'platform 6'. It was the same as the platform number that we left from London. This train station didn't have a bit of a funny smell to it.

"Are we gonna go and get Puga and Edgar?" I asked dad a little sleepily.
"Well, I actually called my brother on the plane and he picked them up from the kennels then took them back to the house so they'll be there when we get home." mom told me and I grinned even more.
"How's Peanuts?" I asked and mom grinned.
"He's fine." she replied nodding a little and I nodded in reply looking down.

I didn't however see any sign of his pet carrier.
"Where is he?" I asked mom and her eyes went wide as she looked at dad in horror.
"HE'S ON THE TRAIN!" dad exclaimed putting me and my bag down. He then started dashing frantically back to the still open doors of the train yelling 'wait' in a funny voice while waving his arms a little.

I couldn't help but laugh at Felix when he started yelling in a funny but frantic and ran back to get Peanuts. Minty was laughing a little and we both ended up doubling over a little holding our tummies. Eventually our laughing did start to slow down and suddenly Minty's eyes went wide like she realised something.

"WAIT!" She started yelling sounding frighteningly a lot like her dad and she charged towards the open doors after her dad. I started laughing even more throwing my head back. I got some strange looks and some smiles from the people getting on and off the train and so did Minty while she ran after her dad.

"Excuse me miss? Are you alright?" a strong southern English accent said and I looked to see a middle age skinny man stood wearing a uniform, a luminous safety jacket and had one of those small ticket machines around his neck.
"Is everything alright?" He asked and I nodded stopping my laughter.

"My fiancé and daughter were just running like maniacs back to the train to get Peanuts, our dog." I replied and he frowned at me.
"Is it this dog?" he asked as held up a pet carrier with Peanuts in it. I gasped and my eyes went wide.
"FELIX! MINTY! PEANUTS IS ALREADY OUT HERE!" I yelled leaving the bags on the ground then started running in the direction Minty ran following Felix. What a great way to come back to Brighton! I thought shaking my head.
