54. Meeting a nickname

By the time Minty and that little barrel stopped dancing my eyes were so wide if someone shook me or just simply bumped into me they'd roll out of my skull. I had been watching them from the back door window quietly; not spying, watching. I know that I shouldn't be mean to Billy because he's Minty's friend and he came up with the idea of a leaving party for Minty, but I still think she's too young. Marzia however thought they were cute! Cute! Ha! They are...a little cute, but he'd better not hurt her!

"You'd better make your eyes stop being wide Felix." The soft voice of Marzia said and I looked to see she was stood with a small but playful smile on her pink lips.
"Why?" I scoffed.
"Because they may roll out of your head and Billy and Minty may notice." she said and put her hand on my shoulder. I sighed knowing what she was saying was true and put my arm around her to hug her close to me. We both looked out at our adoptive daughter and her, friend.

"They look so happy." Marzia said and I grunted once in response.
"You know I was worried that Minty would change her mind about letting us adopt her when she and Billy admit they had feelings but I think their relationship will be strong." Marzia said and my eyes went wide again and I shook my head.
"No, no way is that kid breaking Minty's heart." I said seriously but Marzia laughed and turned to face me.

"Billy won't do that Felix he loves her too much. And Billy won't be the only boy in Minty's heart Felix." She said which again sadly was the truth.
"I know but I don't want to loose my little girl before I get her." I said helplessly and Marzia placed her hand on my cheek.
"She'll always be your little girl pewds, no matter how old she is." Marzia said and I smiled at her. She was, again, right.
"Anyway, I thought you didn't mind Billy papa pewds." She joked and I shot her a look.

"He's a barrel, but I will learn to
cope with him." I said and she laughed again.
"Our little Mintypie may make a bro of him yet." She said turning to look out at them again. I laughed then thought meow about the name she called Minty.
"What did you call Minty?" I asked her.
"Mintypie why?" She asked me and I grinned thinking about the name.

"It's like Pewdiepie and Cutiepie, a nickname." I said and she thought about it for a few seconds but eventually nodded in agreement.
"Yeah it is. We'll have to ask her if she likes it." Marzia said.
"Okay mama Cutiepie." I said kissing her shoulder and neck then I looked out at our little laughing Mintypie.
