Hoseok had never seen anyone eat ice cream so angrily in his entire life. Not even Yoongi.

Taehyung stabbed his spoon harshly into his bowl of vanilla ice cream, covered in far too many rainbow sprinkles. Hoseok had decided to take him back to his place since it wasn't too far from Jungkook's, and now he was waiting patiently at his kitchen table for Taehyung to calm down and finish eating so he could explain himself. And boy, did he have a lot of explaining to do. Luckily, his parents didn't get home until much later in the day, so it was very unlikely that they would ever figure out that their son was currently watching his friend eat ice cream instead of sitting at a desk learning English.

Hoseok wasn't even sure where he wanted to begin, he had so many questions. Should he start with the fact that his two best friends were actually a lot closer than he'd thought? Or maybe he should start with the fact that Taehyung actually knew who Jungkook was this entire time, and it didn't seem like they'd ever been too fond of each other. What was he even supposed to tell Yoongi when they got back to school? He was sure he wouldn't believe anything that had happened if he actually told him, mainly because Hoseok was having trouble believing it himself.

When Taehyung took his last bite of ice cream, throwing his spoon into his bowl, Hoseok pushed it off to the side and leaned in closer to the table, lacing his hands together tightly.

"Tell me everything," he said, looking at Taehyung much too intensely. "I wanna know the whole story. And don't you dare leave a single thing out."

Now that Taehyung was gazing back at him from his kitchen table, a disoriented gleam in his eyes, Hoseok realized that this was the first time he'd ever actually been completely alone with him. When the trio had become friends towards the end of last school year, they'd hung out nearly every day, and it was always the three of them. Hoseok knew that Taehyung and Jimin would always be a little closer since they had been friends for a very long time, and it was true he owed everything to them for sticking by his side at some of his lowest moments. But he never would have imagined that his two best friends would be having an affair right under his nose, especially not one that was tearing them apart on the inside.

Taehyung took a deep breath, leaning his head against his hand. Hoseok could tell just how exhausted he was as his tired eyes sparkled against the sunlit window, the light electrifying his messy blue hair.

"Well, the thing is, Hobi, there's really not much to explain," Taehyung sighed, staring out at the dead leaves falling through the wind. "You heard what Jungkook said. I led him on. I used him . I probably made him feel fucking worthless. And now the Jimin we know is gone."

"But why?" Hoseok questioned, trying to read his friend's face. "How did this even happen?"

"Which part?" Taehyung raised his eyebrows, leaning over to face Hoseok now. "The part where I use him, or the part where he switches personalities?"

Hoseok stared at him for a moment, still trying to process the fact that this was a real conversation that they were having. Multiple Personality Disorder was something he'd only heard about in movies; it wasn't something that was supposed to affect one of his closest friends. If only he would've known, he would have been so much more supportive of Jimin, or perhaps he could have tried to pay more attention to him. All of his past relationship issues with Yoongi suddenly seemed so trivial in comparison.

"Both, I guess," Hoseok muttered, somehow starting to feel bad now. Taehyung nodded his head like he was thinking.

"I guess I'll start by saying this," he started, a slight smirk appearing on his lips, "I don't love Namjoon. I never have."

Hoseok wrinkled his brows in confusion, but part of him really wasn't surprised by this news at all. Despite Taehyung finally getting to sit next to his long-time crush in English class, he'd never really shown any true excitement. Hoseok had been expecting Taehyung to call him on the phone that night and rant about it for hours, but he never had. Actually, now that Hoseok was thinking about it, Taehyung had spent more time focusing on Jimin and Jungkook than his actual English partner. He'd never really understood why he spent so much time looking at them, but now it was all finally starting to make sense.
