Last school year: MayYoongi had no idea how cute he looked when he was studying. Hoseok looked across the table at his boyfriend, who was currently trying to solve the next math problem on his homework.
It was a Saturday afternoon, and Hoseok had agreed to help Yoongi study for his math final at the library. He hadn't seen Yoongi dressed in normal clothes since the first day he met him, and now he was back to wearing nothing but black. As he waited for Yoongi to finish solving the next problem, Hoseok sat and admired his long eyelashes and cute nose. He also looked extra cuddly now that he was in a hoodie and glasses.
"Is this right?" Yoongi asked, showing his paper to him. Hoseok took the paper and re-did the problem in his head. It was correct.
"Yes!" Hoseok said, watching as a huge smile appeared on his face. Yoongi closed his eyes and leaned across the table, waiting for his reward.
Hoseok leaned in and kissed him lightly, but not for too long since they were in public. This was the fifth time Hoseok had "rewarded" him for getting an answer right, but Yoongi still blushed like crazy every time. How had he ended up with the cutest guy in the world again?
"Do you think it's gonna rain?" Yoongi asked, turning around and looking out the glass windows. The sky had gone completely grey, and it almost looked like they were studying during the night. Nobody was walking around outside either, so he wondered if maybe there was about to be a storm they hadn't heard about. He pulled out his phone to look at the weather.
"Damn," Hoseok said, looking up at Yoongi, "there's a flashflood warning. Do you think we should try and leave before it starts?"
"Yeah," Yoongi said, nodding his head. He was already gathering his things and putting his textbook away. A few other people seemed to be getting up to leave too.
Just then, they heard the sound of the doors being bolted.
Two security guards were walking up towards the front of the room, and they looked like they were about to announce something very important.
"We've been advised to keep everyone in-doors until the storm is over. If anyone needs to leave, we suggest you cancel your plans. Your safety is at a high risk."
Hoseok and Yoongi exchanged worried glances, both of them slouching down in their chairs. The whole room started to fill with conversation, and not a single person sounded happy. Something like this had also happened at school about a year ago, and all the students weren't allowed to step out of the classroom the entire day; it was just what happened when you lived in a city known for having bad storms. Luckily for the two of them, they had nowhere to be, so it wasn't a huge deal if they were trapped inside a library for a few hours.
Except that it was. Hoseok hated storms, as in he really, really hated them. It was one of those fears he'd had since he was a child, and it just never seemed to go away no matter what he did. Something about the sky being struck by lightning and the constant crash of thunder felt like the world was about to end.
"Well," Yoongi sighed, grabbing Hoseok's pinky, "at least I get to spend more time with you. That's not so bad." He was looking at him with his gummy smile and his soft eyes, and Hoseok's heart instantly melted. He was starting to think that maybe a storm with Yoongi would somehow be alright.
At least, that's what he thought until a loud crash of thunder sounded the entire library. Hoseok immediately let go of Yoongi's hand and put his face in his arms, resting his head on the table. He totally couldn't deal with this.
"Whoa, what's wrong?" Yoongi asked, shaking him. "Are you okay, Hobi?"
Hoseok just nodded his head, but he still couldn't look up at him. He decided that he would just stay like this, with his head in his arms until the storm was over. It was better if he couldn't see anything, even if it meant not being able to look at the cute boy sitting in front of him.
