"Taehyung, what the hell is happening? You're freaking me out!"
Taehyung still refused to answer him as he pulled Hoseok down the street. The two of them had ventured off into a a nearby neighborhood, which was home to some of the richest people in the city. It wasn't too far from Hoseok's own house, and he swore he'd even driven down this street a few times. Now the question was what were they doing here, out of all places, when they should have been sitting in English class?
Just as Hoseok was about to yell at him again, Taehyung led them up a long stone driveway, a pair of intricately designed metal gates in the near distance. If people thought Hoseok's house was big, they clearly hadn't seen the one in front of them. He took a step back, his jaw dropping at the very site of it. This had to be the home of a king, or some type of god, and they definitely didn't belong anywhere near it.
"Hobi, I just want you to know that things are about to get a little weird," Taehyung said, pushing a white button on the gates. Hoseok watched as a green light flashed, signaling that their request for entry had been heard.
"Things are already weird, Tae," Hoseok said, a feeling of unease overtaking him. He didn't have a clue as to what was happening, but he didn't like it at all.
Just then, a door on the side of the house opened, and a familiar-looking figure was walking towards them.
Dark brown hair.
An obsessive amount of ear piercings.
Black combat boots that echoed with each step he took.
And a look of fiery intent in his eyes. Suddenly, Hoseok knew exactly where they were.
"Jungkook," Taehyung remarked as the boy came closer. He leaned his arms on the gates, staring straight into Taehyung's eyes, but he wasn't going to let them inside. It was almost as if the gates were his barrier, making him untouchable. As he stared at Taehyung, a sly smile slowly started creeping up his face, but Taehyung's face remained nothing but serious.
"Hi, Tae," Jungkook greeted him, tilting his head to the side. "What brings you here today?"
Taehyung rolled his eyes, stepping even closer to him.
"Don't even try to pretend like you don't know why I'm here," he snapped, his harsh tone startling Hoseok greatly. Jungkook, however, seemed to be perfectly calm and collected.
"You're right," he nodded, his eyes wandering off to the side. "I know why you're here. It's just that I don't really give a fuck, so why don't you do us a favor and leave now?"
Something terrifying was flickering in Taehyung's eyes, and it was only growing more and more intense the longer Jungkook glared at him. Suddenly, Hoseok came to really like the gates standing in between them; after all, these were the types of glares people normally exchanged with each other when things were about to get violent.
"Jungkook, have I ever told you how much I hate you and all of your stupid piercings?" Taehyung crossed his arms tightly over his chest, shifting to the side. "At least you didn't look like a total freak when you were just a shy book nerd."
Jungkook let out a laugh, leaning in closer as if Taehyung's attitude was very amusing to him.
"Why don't you go tell that to Jimin, then?" he smirked. "He's the one who gave them to me." He lightly brushed one of the crosses hanging from his ear, the silver metal glistening under the sunlight. It was almost like he was bragging for some reason, and Hoseok had no idea why. He still hadn't said a word throughout all of this, mainly because the cold atmosphere surrounding the two boys in front of him was far too intimidating to break through.
