I'm pretty sure I was on crack when I wrote this chapter... enjoy c:

Last school year: April

Okay, so Yoongi had agreed to hang out with him after school, and now there was one minute left until the final bell rang. This was a good idea, right? It had to be.

But with every tick of the clock, Hoseok could feel his heart racing faster and faster, and it was taking everything within him to not bolt for the doors and leave like they'd never planned anything. Besides, he didn't think Yoongi had actually meant what he said. He was probably going to forget about the whole thing, and Hoseok would be worrying for nothing. His heart rate finally started to slow down.

When Hoseok saw Yoongi waiting outside his classroom, leaning against the wall with his airpods in, he nearly tripped and fell over.

First of all, how did Yoongi know where his classroom was? He'd never told him where he was at the end of the day. Second of all, why was he actually here? Hoseok still had no idea where they were even going to go, and now this meant he would actually have to figure something out for the two of them to do. He couldn't help feeling like this was all going to be a total fail, and then Yoongi would never want to be near him again. What had he been thinking?

Slowly, Hoseok walked over to him, his hands shaking. When Yoongi noticed him, he took the airpods out of his ears and did a tiny wave. That was the first time Hoseok had ever really been acknowledged by him.

"Hey," Yoongi said, grabbing his stuff from the ground. He didn't even seem to be nervous at all, and it wasn't fair. Normally, Hoseok would've been just as calm and collected, but for whatever reason, Yoongi made his brain stop working. Also, why did he have to look so good all the time? It was annoying.

"Hi," Hoseok said, his response a little too late. He was surprised by how shy his voice had sounded.

"Where are we going?" Yoongi asked, looking at Hoseok for an answer. He really didn't waste any time.

Hoseok froze in the middle of the hallway, trying to think. What did he do for fun? Or at least, what did he used to do for fun back when he had friends? There had to be something, but his mind was drawing a blank.

"You don't know, do you?" Yoongi said with a sigh. Hoseok could have sworn he rolled his eyes. "I guess this really was a waste of time. And to think I actually thought-"

"Karaoke!" Hoseok exclaimed, cutting him off. Why hadn't he thought of it sooner? He and Jin used to go to karaoke all the time after school, and they always had the best time. The only problem was that he couldn't really imagine Yoongi singing, especially not with him.

"Karaoke? You're gonna make me sing?" Yoongi was wearing a look of disgust, almost as if Hoseok was his mother and he was forcing him to go to soccer practice. Hoseok hadn't expected any other reaction from him, but Yoongi was going to just have to get over it.

"It'll be fun!" Hoseok said, giving him his most convincing smile. He honestly had no idea whether it was going to be fun or not, but he figured it would definitely be interesting for the two of them.

"I don't believe you," Yoongi said, crossing his arms against his chest. "How could that possibly be any fun?" He was seeing right through Hoseok's fake confidence.

"Just trust me," Hoseok sighed, looking at Yoongi with big eyes. "I go all the time after school with Jin and the rest of the student council, and we-"

Damn, why was it so hard to remember that he and Jin weren't currently speaking? It was like all of his favorite memories had been tied to one person, and he wasn't even sure if he remembered life before Jin was in the picture anymore.
