50. "Don't go there. Ever."

"What are you doing here?"

There were so many other ways Hoseok could have said it. So many nicer ways.

He could've just not said anything. That was always an option too. Maybe then, Jin wouldn't have been glaring at him venomously, and his heart wouldn't have felt like it was going to burst out of his chest.

But he didn't.

He'd said it in that same tone his mother had always told him would get him into trouble someday, the one that made it sound like Jin was a bug that had crawled into the house. Hoseok's natural instinct had always been to swat at bugs, and well, seeing Jin this close to him had evoked nearly the same response.

He didn't want Jin to be anywhere near him. In fact, he didn't even want to be in the same building as him, because it seemed that whenever Jin was near, all he ever did was ruin Hoseok's life. So yes, he didn't think it was all that unreasonable to feel slightly uncomfortable around the guy.

However, that didn't mean Hoseok wasn't totally humiliated at the way he'd just openly displayed that discomfort.

"My boyfriend lives here too, remember?" Jin rolled his eyes at him as if he were completely uninterested, automatically making Hoseok feel like the most immature idiot. Jin then shifted his attention towards Yoongi, who had suddenly loosened his grip around Hoseok's hand.

"Are you okay?" Jin put a hand on Yoongi's shoulder, a look of genuine concern in his eyes.

There was something about the way Jin even had to ask this question that made Hoseok need to tug at the ends of his sleeves.

Honestly, why wouldn't Yoongi have been okay? Did Jin really think Hoseok would be holding his hand and leading him out of his bedroom if he wasn't?

"Yeah, I'm fine," Yoongi reassured him, offering Jin one of his smiles. "Hobi made me feel a lot better, so I'm done freaking out now."

"Oh," Jin said.

Oh.

Okay, so Jin was able to hide his emotions a little bit better than him, but it was so obvious from his voice that Hoseok's feelings of disgust were mutual; Jin was just smarter in the sense that he chose to keep his responses short. The truth was, Jin sounded more like he'd just discovered a strand of hair in his food, or maybe even like it was his turn to do the laundry-- not pleasant at all.

"Well, I guess you guys are good to go, then," Jin said, although his eyes never so much as glanced in Hoseok's direction. If they stood there any longer, Hoseok might have even believed he truly didn't exist.

Now, Hoseok wasn't the type to make a big deal out of things that didn't matter, because quite frankly, it was exhausting. One of the things he loved about Yoongi the most was that he also preferred not to waste his time; instead, the two of them only spent their energy on the things they thought were important. And last time Hoseok checked, bugs were a dirty, trivial thing he wanted nothing to do with.

But god damn, Kim Seokjin was a bug that pissed him off in ways that were unimaginable.

"Stop it," Hoseok snapped, the words leaving his lips before he could even properly think about them.

And just like that, Jin suddenly wanted to look at him.

Jin crossed his arms over his chest, raising his eyebrows like he couldn't wait to see where this was going, and it only caused Hoseok's blood pressure to rise even more.

"Stop what, Hobi?"

A smile ghosted over Jin's lips, like he was ready to watch Hoseok make a complete fool out of himself. Too bad Hoseok refused to let that intimidate him.
