Yoongi wasn't supposed to wake up before 6 A.M. He wasn't supposed to have already brushed his hair, or have had his school uniform on with his tie around his neck. And he definitely wasn't supposed to feel excited about going to school, the place he usually dreaded most.
Nevertheless, he sat there sitting on his bed, watching his alarm clock and waiting for an acceptable time to come out of his room. Right now it was 5:59, only one minute left until they were actually supposed to get up. As if on cue, he heard the sound of his door knob being twisted, and in came Namjoon with his pillow raised above his head.
"Alright, Yoongi, time to wake... what the fuck..."
Namjoon just glared at Yoongi, who was sitting there on his bed with his uniform on and smiling like a complete idiot. This was a site he never thought he'd see, and he wasn't exactly sure what to make of it. It was suddenly like they were in some parallel universe where Yoongi managed to wake up on time, and it was almost a little bit scary.
"Yoongi, are you okay?" he asked, lowering his pillow slowly. It seemed like he actually wasn't going to have to use it today, which was just extremely weird.
"Mhm," Yoongi replied, nodding his head and still smiling. "Let's go to school."
He got up off of his bed, about to walk out the door, but Namjoon quickly grabbed his wrist and held him back.
"Hey," he said, pulling Yoongi back towards him. "You're not supposed to be up until I've at least hit you with this pillow like seventeen times. Did something happen, or...?"
Oh.
Oh.
"Oh my god," Namjoon put his hands over his mouth, his eyes growing wide as the realization finally sank in. Yoongi had a certain glow to him, his eyes shining brightly with unknown excitement. It seemed like his head was in the clouds, his mind lost somewhere in a place too far away for him to reach. And he looked extra cleaned up today, like he'd actually spent time getting ready and looking in the mirror. None of these things were normal in the slightest. There was only one thing it could've been-- Yoongi was head over heels, madly in love.
And it was also kind of adorable.
"You've got a lot to tell me on the train," he said, giving him a look that said 'I know'. He hadn't meant to make Yoongi blush, but his cheeks were still turning a deep shade of red, his lips curling into a flat smile.
"Is it really that obvious?" Yoongi sighed, looking down towards the ground. He was starting to worry that maybe Hoseok had known the entire time that he'd been struggling not to gaze at him during class, or that he'd actually liked when he called him cute that one time. Yoongi thought he'd done a pretty good job of acting like he hated being anywhere near him, but now he wasn't so sure. He'd probably looked like such a confused idiot.
"It's only obvious because you're awake right now," Namjoon rolled his eyes, opening the door and gesturing for him to start heading out. "Hobi must have some kind of magical powers if you like him enough to wake up early for him. I wonder what else I could try and convince him to make you do..."
And then Yoongi took the pillow out of his hands, hitting him across the shoulders.
"Hey!" Namjoon laughed, pushing him to the side and taking his pillow back. "That's my job."
"Can we stop talking already and head to school?" Yoongi said, stepping in front of him and nearly running down the stairs. "I'm not sure if you can tell, but I'd like to see my boyfriend now."
