Chapter 62

Amber

8 months later...

I've been tossing and turning for two hours now, but I still can't sleep. My stomach is too big, and my little girl won't stop kicking.

"Oh please stop." I whispered rubbing my tummy to calm her down. Just then, Daniel stepped into our room very quietly.

"You're still awake?" He frowned placing his mug on the side table as he joined me in bed.

"She won't stop kicking." I whined holding my back.

"The doctor said that it's normal on the last days of pregnancy. Try to relax, and don't be nervous." He tried soothing me by rubbing my tummy and holding me close to him.

"It's three in the morning, and I need to wake up at seven to leave at eight for my exam! And I can't even close my eyes for a second!" I whined in frustration almost crying.

"Shh- drink this." He whispered handing me his mug.

"What's this?"

"Hot chocolate." He smiled pecking ny nose as I sat up to drink it.

"That's the last exam, don't panic. You really studied hard, and I helped you, so you don't have to worry when you have a professional professor like me!" He continued.

"I'm not really afraid anymore." I giggled shaking my head.

"Of course." He laughed pecking the top of my head.

"Drink the rest. I'm full." I smiled handing him back his mug.

"Okay, try to sleep, now." He whispered slinding his hand to my stomach and rubbing it.

----------

"Sir, may I use the bathroom?" I asked a professor that was passing by my side.

"You're okay?" He frowned taking a better look on my face.

"I'm not." I shook my head holding my stomach to keep myself from screaming out loud.

"Are you sure you need the bathroom not a doctor?"

"Get me some water. There are ten minutes left anyway." I whimpered holding my pen again with my shaky fingers.

"Here it is, miss." He placed a bottle of mineral water on my desk.

"Thank you." I whispered taking small sips.

"Time's over! Leave your pens, please." Another professor yelled in thw microphone, and the pen fell from my hand.

"Amber, are you okay?" Leo whispered.

"I'm going to give birth to this baby today." I whispered as we both got up. "You look so pale, oh my God!" He gasped helping me out of the big hall.

"I'll call Daniel." I whispered switching on my phone.

"I'll get you juice or something." He said once I sat down on a bench.

"Don't leave me, please." I whimpered holding my baby bump before screaming loudly.

"Amber!" Leo yelled holding me up.

"I'm giving birth, now." I cried.

"Someone help me, please! She's giving birth." Leo screamed, and a few gentlemen ran to get the ambulance, and others called the campus' doctor.

"Call Daniel and tell him." I groaned in pain.

"Sit here!" One of the paramedics instructed helping me to lie on a stretcher.
