Daniel

Today, I'll go with Amber to the doctor for the first time and to say the truth, I'm really excited.

Yeah, when I first knew, I was shocked and afraid, but then I thought that maybe.. just maybe God sent us this baby to get back together. That's the thing I've been clinging to from the day I knew.

I know that I reacted harshly, but she also over-reacted and.. it's all a stupid misunderstandment.

The past days, I've been doing nothing, but studying. It's the only way to let the time pass as I can't party and can't go trainings anymore. I lost everything and I am not ready to lose the promise I made for my mother about graduating this year. Maybe then Amber would think that I can be responsible and a shelter for her and the baby.

'Everything will be okay at the end. If it's not okay then it's not the end.' I don't know where did I read this quote, but in someway, it's keeping me thinking positive.

I love Amber and she loves me, so why the stubborness? One day we'll sort this out of not today then tomorrow.

I'm pathetic? Well, a bit too much because I can't stop thinking about her. Wherever I go, I think of her.

Like for example, yesterday I went to the mall to get a book for Delilah and everytime I'd see a child, I'd think of Amber and how she would play with any child and become friends with them in a matter of seconds. She's so sweet and tender that the babies that still couldn't even comprehend what is happening around them smile at the sight of her.

"I am outside." I sent a text to her as I stopped the car in the parking lot of the campus.

"I'll be there in a second." She texted back and a minute later, I saw her.

She was waving for that Leo and Amelia. Her hair fell in waves down her shoulders and her face was free from make up just a bit of eye liner. She hugged her books to her chest as she walked towards the car. I immediately ran to greet her.

"Hey Daniel." She smiled

"Hey." I grinned openning her door.

"How are you? And the baby?" I smiled looking at her.

"I am feeling better. Everything finally became settled." She smiled rubbing her tummy.

No, it's not settled.

"That's good." I faked a smile. "Should I take that turn?" I asked her.

"No, the one after." She started to guide me.

---------

"Miss Amber, it's your turn." The secretary smiled and we both stood up as she guided us to the other room.

"Hey Amber! Nice to see you again." The doctor greeted Amber.

"Thank you. Um- that's Daniel-" she paused looking at me.

"I'm Amber's boyfriend and the father of the baby." I smiled shaking the doctor's hand.

"Nice to see you, sir. Huh- sit down."

"So how are you mummy?" She smiled in excitement.

"Oh yeah, I'm good, I think, but I can feel some changes though." She sighed.
