Chapter 56

"Well, if you insist, but I have to ask Amber what does she wanna do?" He said slowly turning to me.

"Um-" I looked at him with wide eyes not expecting from him to let me interfere in such a conversation. "Um- I think it would be rude not to appreciate all the effort done to make all these preparations. I don't know, though. I really have no problem." I shrugged.

"I agree, it'd be rude,so- I'll accept it." He nodded making her look up with a grin.

"Oh! Thank you! I'll send a waiter to take your orders. Enjoy your night, guys." With that, she walked past us and towards the main room of the restaurant.

"It's our night, then, ma'am." Daniel smiled bowing playfully for me as I walked into the beautiful room.

"The music is relaxing." I smiled softly once we sat down.

"Yeah, hope that we'd enjoy our night." He agrees as a waiter approached us with the menus.

"Good-evening, I'm Jason, and I'll be at your service tonight." He introduced himself politely as he handed us the menus.

"Thank you, Jason." Daniel nodded at the young man as he took few steps back to give us some space.

"What are you going to eat?" Daniel looked up at me.

"I don't know. I can't choose." I shrugged sluggishly.

"Will you let me choose for you?"

"Sure." I grinned handing the menu back to the waiter.

"Um- we'd take Bistro Roast Chicken."

"Would you like to drink something?"

"Um-" Daniel looked at me for a second, and I quickly replied.

"Anything with no alchohol, please."

"And you, sir?"

"The same." He smiled handing the waiter the menu.

"Your dinner will be here shortly." The waiter bowed politely taking few steps back before turning around, and walking out of the door.

"Something's on your mind." I spoke up placing my hand on top of his across the table.

"It's nothing, baby." He raised my palm to his lips pecking it softly.

"You're not trying to hide anything from your baby, right?" I raised a brow.

"It's nothing serious, but no one is answering his phone, and I'm afraid something's wrong back home." He sighed.

"I don't know, but no news is good news." I shrugged.

"You're right. Let's dance?" He asked, and I nodded getting up with him.

"I don't want to see you worried or sad. I wish to make you always happy." I whispered looking us, so that our eyes meet.

"Your smile makes me happy, so just stay like this." He grinned pecking kissing my forehead as we moved with the music.

"Uh- I forgot to tell you, but Sir Brown said that we'll be having our first official dancing performance in about three months."

"That's great, but we didn't even start training, yet!" I frowned.

"Calm down, babe. Nobody knows other than Sir Brown and I and now you. Once we return to New York, Sir Brown will set a meeting and we'll discuss everything."

"Hmm- It's interesting that you're the one with the news, now." I winked making him laugh.

"Yeah," He smiled leaning down and pecking my nose.

Just then, the waiter stepped in with the mouthwatering dish.

He was about to help me in my chair, but Daniel motioned for him that he'd do it.

"Here you go." The boy smiled setting the plates across from us, and my stomach growled when I smelt the chicken.

"Which is better? Fresh juice or soda?"

"I think soda." Daniel smiled, and I nodded in agreement.

Once he set everything on our table, the waiter walked out of the room.

"Do you remember our first date?" I smiled a the memory as I cut a small slice of chicken.

"Mhmm- how could I forget?" He chuckled making me giggle.

"I really was a child back then. I feel very mature, now." I grinned, and he looked up at me with sparkling eyes.

"You were always beautiful. I loved how childish you were, and now I love how mature you are."

"Love you." I blew him a kiss. I feel like a proud mother for making him happy.

"Remember that day, we were playing a game- what did you call it?" He chuckled.

"Twenty one questions." I giggled.

"Let's make them two, but we'll both answer the question wether you're the one who asked or I'm the one who asked."

"Alright." I nodded with a smile.

"Are you happy?" He asked.

"I can't be happier. Are you happy?"

"I'm afraid of ever losing you. It's too good to be true."

"You'll never lose me. My heart will always be yours, at all times." I whispered holding his hand tightly.

"It's your turn."

"Oh, yeah. If you had to ask God for one thing, what would you ask for?"

"If I could give you one thing in life," he paused chuckling. "It would be to stop the moon. Stop the moon and make this night and your beauty last forever."

"Oh, Daniel," I giggled hiding my face in my hand. "From where do you get these words?!"

"I'm not making them up, that's the truth." He shrugged.

"It's my turn." I smiled. " If I could ask God one thing, I would ask him to give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you realise how special you are to me."

---------------

"How could you hide something like that from me?" I heard Daniel yell.

"Daniel?" I called as I stepped out of the bathroom.

"Whatever! That was urgent." He protested through the phone, and I just sat on the bed waiting for him to finish, so that I'd know what went wrong.

"How's Clara, and Jack and Tina?" He sighed. So, there's something wrong with Paul..

"I don't know. I'll call you later. Bye." With that, he hung up.

"What's wrong?"

"Paul got really tired after our wedding that they took him to the hospital." He sighed.

"We should go back, then." I got up walking to the closet.

"We can't. That's our honeymoon."

"Daniel, we won't have fun here like this. Our minds will be with them, so let's just stay by Clara's side. She needs a man to depend on. Yeah, Alan is there, but you're different. You're like her son. They need you, now more than any time else. Plus, it doesn't matter cause we've already promised each other to make our whole life a honeymoon." I smiled cupping his face.

"I love how understanding you are."

"That's the normal thing that I should do, or else I'd be really selfish. I'm sure that he'll be okay because Paul is so strong, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't return to New York." I smiled pecking his nose.

"Go check out till I prepare the bags."

"What about the tickets?" He asked getting up.

"I'll take care of it. Don't worry." I winked as I started preparing the first bag.
