-Steven's pov-

Not around anymore? First she gets this job then she gets home late or doesn't come home at all and now that- What was that anyways? When did she learn to fight like that? Our father is like twice her size. And Bucky? Bucky just sits there as if he doesn't know what's going on either.

"Do you care to explain yourself?" I try to interpret her reaction but she just sighs.

"I got a new mission and that means that I have to move. Not completely but I won't be around for a few weeks. Tonight is my last night in this goddamn house and I can't wait to leave Joseph behind. But I'll miss you." My sister smiles at me.

"That's not what I meant! I mean you slamming our father onto the table." I cross my arms in front of my chest waiting for an explanation.

"Oh." Her gaze wanders around the kitchen.
"No, sorry, there is nothing I could explain."

James looks just as confused as I do.
"When did you learn how to fight?"

Now Y/N looks confused.
"Well I-" She hesitates and starts laughing.
"You don't know that this wasn't the first time I slammed a man onto a table!"

Shocked I look at James then back at my little sister.
"It wasn't?"

"Alright, brother dear."
She places three glasses on the table and pours some whiskey into them. Then she takes a sip from one of them and sits back down.
"I'm a feminist, Steven. I had to learn how to defend myself. The evening Agent Smith offered me the job a few weeks ago? I was in jail for defending myself. The man had a bloody nose after he tried to hit me."

She slammed a man onto a table because he wanted to hit her?!

My look falls on James.

How did she not hurt him yet?

She chuckles as if she can hear my thoughts.
"James got a taste of my hand once, brother. He didn't do anything wrong since then. Always a respectful gentleman."

-Y/Ns pov-

It's really amusing to be able to read people's body language. I look at the clock and grin.

My last night. I'm really looking forward to go out tonight.

As I stand up James looks at the clock too but I decide to ignore it. Before I leave to get ready I give my brother a hug.
"Never forget your true strength, Steven. Stay a good man."

With that I slip into my room and start getting ready. My hair falls down in waves again and I put on a shirred dress. I top the look off with some red lipstick and a fitting pair of shoes. The purse I choose completes the look without pushing it over the edge and I smile.

Peggy was right. If I want to I really can look gorgeous.

Thinking about my best friends tips I leave the house and enter a bar full of soldier. As I pass by the noise stops giving me more confidence.

"Care for a dance, miss?" One of the soldiers holds out his hands.

With a charming smile I slide my hand into his and let him lead me onto the dance floor. Luckily the dance lessons were a success, our feet fly over the dance floor and I really enjoy the dance.
"How about a drink?" I look into the soldiers eyes and lead him towards the bar.

Already melting in my hands he follows me and orders a drink for me.
"What is a beautiful lady doing here all alone?"

I chuckle and place my hand on his arm.
"The soldiers shouldn't forget what they're fighting for."

Another soldier comes up to us and asks me for a dance, again I agree. Soon I danced with a whole bunch of soldiers when I hear a familiar voice.
