Agent Carters voice strikes through the air.
"Faster, ladies! Come on. My grandmother has more life in her, God rest her soul. Move it!"

Agent Rogers is walking with Colonel Phillips and Doctor Erskine. 

"You're not really thinking about picking Rogers, are you?"
Phillips doesn't seem to approve the Doctors decision.

Without hesitation Erskine answers.
"I am more than just thinking about it. He is the clear choice."

"As I told you."
Agent Rogers likes to brag about her brother when the other soldiers can't hear her.

The Colonel shakes his head and the three stop next to a pick up truck.
"When you brought a ninety-pound asthmatic onto my army base, I let it slide. I thought, what the hell? Maybe he'll be useful to you, like a gerbil. I never thought you'd pick him."
Y/N wants to answer but the Colonel rolls his eyes. "Yes, Agent Rogers, you told us."

Carter looks at the three and commands the soldiers. "Up."

They watch Steven struggling whilst training with the others.
"You stick a needle in that kids arm and it's gonna go right through him."
Argues the Colonel.

"Come on, girls."
Carter keeps commanding the regiment.

Phillips shakes his head.
"Look at that. He's making me cry."

"I am looking for qualities beyond the physical."
Explains Erskine, observing Steven.

"Do you know how long it took to set up this project?" Complains Phillips.

"Yeah, we know."
Now Agent Rogers rolls her eyes.

"All the groveling I had to do in front of Senator What's-His-Name's committees?"

Erskine nods.
"Brandt. Yes, I know. I am well aware of your efforts."

"Then throw me a bone. Hodge passed every test we gave him. He's big, he's fast, he obeys orders. He's a soldier."

Again Y/N steps into the conversation.
"He's a bully."

Colonel belittles Y/N. "You don't win wars with niceness, Agent." 
Rogers and Erskine watch him taking a hand grenade. 
"You win war with guts."
He throws the grenade at where the new recruits train. "Grenade!"
All the soldiers move away quickly but Steven jumps on top of it covering it with his body, ready to leave his life for everyone else.

"Get away! Get back!" He screams, making sure he covers the grenade.

Proudly Agent Rogers watches her brother as the rest waits for the grenade to go off but nothing happens.

A Officer clears the situation.
"It was a dummy grenade. All clear. Back in formation."

Rogers looks at Phillips, Erskine and Y/N.
"Is this is a test?"

Erskine looks at Phillips as to confirm his point about choosing the boy. Meanwhile the Agent grins at her best friend Carter. 

The Colonel and the Doctor return to their work as Agent Rogers joins Agent Carter.

"The first time I heard about this project I knew it would be him. And now I know that it will be you."
She grins at her best friend.

"What do you mean?"
Carter keeps watching the training.

"I'm your best friend and his sister, Peggy. I see how you two look at each other. And tomorrow you will like him even more."
She winks as an Officer approaches them.

"Agent Rogers?"

Y/N turns around and nods.
"Yes?"

The officer hands her a letter with Dooley's handwriting on the envelope and salutes before he leaves again.

"Huh? Why would Dooley write me? Ugh, I'll better read this. Catch you later?"

Carter nods and smiles at her. 
"We could go dancing."

She watches her friend leave and turns her attention back to the troops.

Y/N closes the door to her room and carefully opens the envelope, taking out the letter.

"Agent Rogers.
New mission.
Report immediately after Project Rebirth.
Dooley."

Wait, I won't see my brother fighting? Argh.. Guess I'll be out of town. No dancing, Peggy. I'm sorry.

The letter wanders into a file and she starts packing her stuff. When everything's done she goes to sleep.
