After All Might made his grand entrance, we all headed to the locker rooms with our new hero costumes. I was a little nervous about how mine turned out. I tried to be as specific as possible on my request form, but I knew designers liked to leave their mark. As I opened the metal case, I was pleasantly surprised.

The first thing I saw was a pair of brown leather mid-calf combat boots. They were rugged looking and exactly what I wanted. Next, a pair of tan pants. The material was lightweight and a bit stretchy. Actually, upon closer inspection they looked more like leggings than pants. But as long as they were durable and I could move easily, they'd work. Next, the tunic. It was a pretty shade of light green that matched my eyes, somewhere between sage and seafoam. I slipped it on and realized it was a perfect fit. Not too tight and perfectly falling past my hips to mid-thigh. The material was interesting. It was light and airy, so I wouldn't get too hot, yet it didn't seem flimsy or like it would be easily ripped. These designers sure knew their stuff.

I reached for the accessory compartment to finish my look. A brown leather utility belt with numerous pouches buckled around my waist. I checked the pockets and was shocked to find them already filled with my requested seeds. I had provided them when I turned in the costume form, but it was a nice surprise to find them already in place.

I walked over to the mirrors to fix my hair. I braided a small section on each side above my ears and secured them at the back of my head. This would, hopefully, keep my hair out of my eyes during training.

I took a quick glance around the room to see if everyone was ready to head out. I was a little surprised to see how many of the girls had opted for skin-tight body suits. Then again, they could pull it off, so I couldn't blame them. My curves were more modest than most of the other girls, but if I looked like that, I probably would have gone in that direction as well.

We all headed out to the training grounds, meeting up with the boys on the way. There were a lot of really flashy costumes. Mine seemed kind of plain in comparison but, it was okay, it suited me perfectly.

We met up with All Might and he explained the rules for today's battle drills. I sighed in disappointment. Indoor training. At least I had some support items, as my quirk would be useless on its own in this setting. I got paired with a boy who introduced himself as Koda in a whisper.

I walked into the observation room next to him and stood with my back against the wall, eyeing the monitors. The first group to go was Midoriya and Uraraka versus Iida and Bakugo. This was sure to be interesting.

I noticed Koda was lingering near me, so, while we were waiting for the first team to start, I figured it was a good opportunity to strategize.

"Hey, since it's only like ,our second day, I don't really have a handle on everyone's quirks yet. Can you remind me what yours is again?"

"I can speak to and control animals," he whispered out to me.

I took a step closer to him and lowered my voice a bit so I didn't seem so loud. "That's a really neat quirk. It's actually kind of similar to mine. I don't exactly speak to plants, but I can control them. Do you think you'll be able to use your quirk here? Like, are there any animals nearby you can utilize?"

He looked up in thought, then nodded his head and gave me a thumbs up. I got the feeling he didn't like to talk unless absolutely necessary.

"Cool. There isn't anything here that I can work with, but my costume comes equipped with different kinds of seeds that I can grow into useful things. Plus I have training in hand-to-hand combat if it comes down to it." I gave him a thumbs up in return and what I hoped was a reassuring smile. "I think we'll be okay, depending on who we're up against."
