Friday finally arrived and we found ourselves once again in gym gamma training our quirks. It had been the same thing every day but since we had been at it for three weeks straight, we were all feeling the stress and exhaustion of working to our limits. But it was paying dividends, as everyone had seen improvements. So, we continued to work hard. Now that I had figured out my ultimate move with my new gauntlets, I wanted to start working more on my shooting accuracy. I also had a bit of a surprise for Ectoplasm. After Kyoka's advice, I started to realize how much more I could do. Shooting a seed to grow a tree was just the tip of the iceberg. The more I thought about the potential of my quirk, the more I realized that I had been limiting it by my own lack of creativity.

As I readied myself across from my Ectoplasm clone, I turned the dial on my gauntlet, readying a vine seed. I shot the seed toward him, growing it midair into a tangle of vines that quickly wrapped themselves around him, tying his arms and legs tightly to his body.

"You've created your own version of a capture net, excellent!" Ectoplasm praised.

"Thank you sir. Once I realized how much I had been limiting myself, the possibilities just started flowing," I said excitedly.

From the platform next to mine I heard Bakugo scoff. "What you meant to say was that you finally pulled your head out of your ass, Apples."

I rolled my eyes as I pulled the vines from Ectoplasm. "What was that Bakugo, you want an apple? Here, catch!" I turned the dial on my gauntlet to an apple seed and shot it at him, turning it into an apple that was flying toward his face. He blew it up before it reached him, just like I anticipated, and sent a glare my way. Ectoplasm coughed, trying to hide the chuckle I clearly heard, before yelling at us to get back to work.

I showed Ectoplasm some of the seeds I had loaded into my gauntlets. "With these, I can shoot out binding vines, full trees, and my thorns."

"Apples too, apparently."

"Yeah," I said with a chuckle. "Or other types of fruits, maybe, to serve as projectiles. I had a couple other thoughts but they'd only be helpful in specific situations and I'd have to practice growing their plants more to be able to use them in this capacity."

"Explain."

"Well, I was reading about a tree that has highly flammable sap. Shooting it at a fire-user could potentially rain flaming sap down onto them. Also for someone like Toru who's invisible, I could create a shower of pollen so they'd be spotted more easily. Or it could be used as a kind of signal flare but it would really only be useful in the daytime."

"You've really been thinking about this. For now let's focus on perfecting the vines and the trees. Those will be the things you're using the most so it's important to be able to utilize it in any situation."

"Yes, sir." I went to work shooting and creating trees to combat against Ectoplasm. I was trying my hardest to ignore the loud blasts coming from Bakugo next to me, but I glanced over when he yelled loudly.

"Hey! Heads up!"

I saw a piece of his platform crumble away and begin to fall to the ground...headed straight for All Might. Gasping, I took a step forward but before I could think of a way to help, Midoriya flew through the air, kicking the chunk of concrete into dust.

Everyone seemed to breathe a little easier, seeing that no one had gotten hurt. But I heard Bakugo let out a short growl before yelling, "You better watch yourself, All Might!"

I had just gotten back to my room after a quick rinse in the shower, to clear away all the sweat from training, when I heard a knock on my door. We didn't have anything to study today, but I still wasn't expecting Todoroki and Midoriya...and they usually just came in after knocking. I opened the door to a grinning Kirishima and Kaminari...and a scowling Bakugo.
