I woke up Sunday morning and immediately knew something was wrong. I was feeling hotter than usual, more like my room felt like a furnace. When I opened my eyes, I discovered the source. Instead of being curled up into my pillow, I was curled up into Shoto's chest. I never realized how much heat he gave off, but maybe he was just better at regulating his body temperature when he was conscious.
I jolted in panic when I realized our predicament. He fell asleep in my room last night. We just broke a bunch of rules and we'd be in serious trouble if we were caught. "Shoto," I said quietly while giving his shoulder a shake.
He slowly opened his eyes and blinked at me a few times. "Kana?" He smiled softly but then shot up, a similar look of panic on his face. "I'm sorry, I must have fallen asleep."
"Don't worry, me too, but we need to get you out of here. I don't want either of us to get in trouble for breaking the rules."
He nodded and jumped out of my bed and carefully opened my door. "I'll see you in a bit." And then he was gone.
I shuffled around my room gathering our trash and grabbing a change of clothes. I threw the trash away in the common room and headed for the showers. It was still pretty early and it seemed as though no one else was up yet. Which was hopefully a good sign that no one noticed he spent the night in my room.
After my shower, I headed back to my room to gather up my homework and text books. I took everything down to our usual study table and went about getting breakfast. I wasn't feeling the best about everything that happened yesterday and I felt like baking...actually it was more like I felt like having pastries for breakfast.
I didn't have time to get too fancy and make anything from scratch, but there was puff pastry in the kitchen. I went outside and collected some cherries, blueberries, and strawberries and went about making mini cream cheese and fruit pastries.
Once I finished, I grabbed one of each kind for myself and left the rest on the counter. I sat down next to my books and pulled out my English notes. While I ate and studied, Midoriya came out of the boys bathroom, followed by Iida and Shoto.
"Good morning, Satori. I hope you're feeling better this morning."
"Good morning, Midoriya. And thanks, I'm good. I left some pastries on the counter if you're hungry."
"Ooh, thanks!" He gave me a big grin as he settled in the seat across from me. "Are you tackling that English assignment?"
"Yeah, I want to get all my work done before I head to the gym."
Shoto sat down next to me, Iida across from him, both with pastries in hand. Iida had his English notebook out as well and was running through the homework while he ate.
Conversation was light as we all ate and looked over our notes. I was soon headed out to the gym. It was weird. A lot of my classmates were around both in the dorms and out training. Everyone, especially the girls, acted like nothing had happened yesterday. I suppose, to them, nothing unusual had happened.
School started Monday the same way. We spent time in class, went to lunch, had training. It was as if nothing had changed. No one spoke to me rudely and no one ignored me. I was almost beginning to think I had imagined the whole thing.
After classes had ended, I made my way to gym alpha. I went through a basic weight lifting workout, making sure to do nothing that required a spotter. Even though some of my classmates were present, I was still feeling a little uncomfortable around them. I had no intentions of approaching anyone today.
Once I was done with lifting, I wanted to do some cardio. I headed to the sparring room planning to do a workout on one of the machines. But before I had made it to the door, I was stopped by Kyoka.
