I couldn't believe this. I was in a surprisingly good mood, despite the start of the day, and now it was ruined. Our supplementary class was finally over and I found myself staring blankly at the girl in front of me, a girl I'd met only a few hours ago. "I'm sorry, what?"
"Can I get your phone number? I'd really like to talk to you more," she said as she leaned in to me, wrapping her hands around my arm.
"I don't give my number out to people I just met and can you give me a little space, please."
She gave me an exaggerated pout and squeezed in even closer. "That's so cold, Todoroki. I think you need someone to warm you up a little."
My body stiffened as she reached her hand into my jacket pocket and pulled out my phone. I tried to take it back, but she quickly turned and entered her contact info into my phone. "Call me, text me, or send me a pic, okay?" she said with a wink before she tossed my phone back and sauntered off down the hallway to catch up with Yoarashi.
I turned around to glance at Bakugo, hoping he would explain to me what the hell just happened. But all I got was a smirk before he too left down the hallway. I opened my phone and immediately deleted her. I didn't like people who got all touchy like she had with me. That Camie girl was strange and I knew I would never have any reason to contact her. I put her out of my mind and exited the building, but was unable to avoid getting dragged into another unpleasant conversation, this time with my father.
As soon as we could, Bakugo and I loaded onto the bus back to the dorms, silently contemplating our exercises today. Dealing with Yoarashi, that crazy girl, and my father was enough to push me to exhaustion. Throw in those kids and all I wanted to do was get back to the dorms and curl up in bed. Actually, I wanted to curl up in Kana's bed, preferably with her beside me. That image was enough to put a smile back on my face, making me glad we were done for the day.
"What's with the smile, Icyhot? Thinking about all the girls you've got chasing after you?"
"No. What are you talking about?"
"You should do everyone a favor and just break up with Apples already."
"Why would I break up with her?"
"It's obvious you're just gonna break her heart. It seems to me you could have any girl you want. You've got random girls you've just met asking for your number and we all know the creation chick hangs on your every word."
"I can't control what other people do or how they feel. All of that has nothing to do with me or Kana."
"Maybe not but she's gotta be sick of it, right? I see the look on her face whenever Ponytail girl talks to you. Either she's gonna get sick of it all and break up with you or you're going to realize all the options you have and move on. Breaking up now would save you both a lot of time."
I glared at him as the bus stopped and he headed down the sidewalk toward the dorms. "That's ridiculous," I said as I followed behind him. "She knows how I feel about her and I know how she feels about me. No one else matters."
"You say that, but I bet she wouldn't be happy to know how that annoying chick was all over you today."
"You mean how I'm not too happy when you two are sparring and you have your hands all over her? And don't think I haven't noticed how you keep her pinned longer than you do anyone else."
"Jealous?" Bakugo grinned, "Of course you are. I bet I get more action sparring with her than you do in all your time alone."
The bastard had the nerve to laugh.
"She obviously needs a real man, someone who isn't afraid to show her exactly how they feel. Then she wouldn't have that insecure look on her face whenever another girl talks to you."
