||DOJO DAY AFTERNOON||

|CAMI

Me, Kim, Jerry, Eddie, and Milton were surrounding Jack and cinderblocks which was balancing a wooden plank. Jack looked at us with a smirk. I looked at him strange. We've seen him bust a bunch of boards at a time before. What's so special about this one? "Alright guys, stand back," Jack ordered, using his hands to back us up. He broke the board in half earning no reaction from any of us.

"What's the big deal Jack? You've done that a thousand times," Jerry pointed out.

"Wait for it," Jack insisted, blowing softly towards the cinderblocks making them collapse. We all stepped back.

"Whoa," we nodded in impressment.

"You're up next Cam," Kim teased.

"I may be a second degree black belt, but I didn't practice hours and hours on that like someone did," I looked at Jack. "Still impressive though," I told him, giving him a high five.

"Man, I'd give you a million bucks if you could do that to my cello," Eddie said. "Playas, don't play the cello."

"But you're not a 'playa'," I deadpanned.

"I will be when I get rid of that dang cello," Eddie promised. "I'm gonna go get a smoothie." Eddie walked out of the dojo, grumbling incoherent words. Once he left, clinking of metal was heard from Rudy's office, making me and the gang's focus shift to the door.

"No. No! Don't you die on me! Not now! It's not your time!" I heard Rudy scream as me and the gang walked closer to the door.

"What's going on in there?" Milton asked.

"Rudy's toilet's clogged again," Jack answered, shaking his head. The toilet flushed before the door opened revealing Rudy who was almost entirely covered with rubber.

"Poor Myrtle. I almost lost her. Twice I had to plunge her back to life," Rudy told us.

"How do you know if a toilet's a boy or a girl?" Jerry asked.

"Well, you take the top off the tank, you reach your arm in, and feel around-"

"-STOP!" me and Milton cut off Rudy in unison. I shuddered, resting my chin on Kim's shoulder.

"I think I'd rather hear about this in an awkward conversation with my father!" Milton grimaced.

"Rudy focus!" Kim reminded Rudy.

"The owner of the mall's gonna be here any minute," I continued, taking my head off of Kim's shoulder.

"Hey! You guys gotta check this out!" Eddie exclaimed as he reentered the dojo, waving a brochure in his hand. "These brochures are all over the place. This new owner's making some big changes." Me and the group migrated to Eddie, looking into the brochure. I read over Eddie's shoulder as Jack read over mine. Kim read over Eddie's other shoulder as Milton read over her's. Jerry and Rudy resorted to reading it upside down.

"Wow. They finally moved the baby changing out of the food court," Kim told us.

"That's a big step in the right direction if you ask me," I agreed, remembering the scent of baby remains as I ate a burrito. Ugh. Disgusting.
