We were all training for our upcoming tournaments when the sound of Jerry's grunts and groans became louder. I looked over to see Kim standing victoriously above the in pain Jerry. "Hey hey hey!" Rudy spoke over the loud punching and kicking. "You kids are getting sweat all over my mats! This is why we can't have nice things!" Rudy took out a white rag, bending over to vigorously scrub the mat.
"Rudy, calm down," Jack told him.
"The mats are meant to be sweaty. It's a crime if the mats aren't sweaty," I deadpanned.
"What's got you so worked up?" Jack asked.
"Bobby Wasabi is on his way here right now and he's got big news," Rudy answered.
"I love his entrances. His last one was so cool," Eddie smiled at the memory.
"It was not cool," Jack denied.
"If you're gonna fly a jet pack around in a kimono, at least put on some underwear!" I shuddered.
"Well, this time he promised his entrance isn't gonna be a big deal. He wants everything quiet and low key," Rudy said before the blares of a fanfare rang.
"That's definitely quiet and low key," I sarcastically agreed as 2 ninjas pulled Bobby into the dojo in a portable bubble bath.
"I would've been here sooner, but we hit a porthole and blew out a ninja," Bobby excused.
"That is an awesome ride," Eddie praised.
"I wonder if it's street legal," Jerry added.
"It's part hot tub, part rickshaw, and all partay," Bobby told us.
"So Bobby, what's the big news?" Eddie asked.
"I just signed a deal to produce a brand new, martial arts reality show called: Wasabi Warrior!" Bobby answered.
"Good for you?" I tried to cheer. Ish.
"And it's going to take place in a dojo," Bobby continued.
"Great," I nodded slowly, still not getting what he's getting at.
"Your dojo," he finally revealed. Everyone started cheering happily, but there's one thing I'm worried about. These shows tear people apart. I love all my friends and I don't want that to happen, so I think I'll just try my best to play fairly. Ish. "6 karate students, living together, in a world where they must outplay, outfight, and outwit one another," Bobby summarized. Ok, that just went against everything I said. Well, thought. "You'll be playing for a brand new Camasaki Water Rider!" A big red water rider was rolled in by a couple of ninjas. I gaped at it, trying to register that I have a sixth of a chance to win that beautiful, beautiful thing. We all started gaping and speaking terms like 'wow' and 'are you serious?'
"Hang on a second guys. We've all seen those reality shows. Sometimes they bring out the worst in people," Eddie pointed out like he read my mind.
"Yeah, Eddie's right. I mean, this dojo is a place of honor where we come to study martial arts and-"
"-all I need is a host," Bobby cut off Rudy.
"Ooh! Please! Pick me! Pick me! I've wanted to be a reality show host my whole life!" Rudy's mood immediately switched.
"Alright, you'll do," Bobby agreed.
"I'm a host!" Rudy cheered.
"Yeah," Bobby nodded.
