||EDDIE CRIES UNCLE||

|CAMI

I was watching the boys play their basketball game. It looked like Milton was trying to get into one of the players' head, but it didn't seem too successful considering the guy threw a perfect shot. "Time out guys, come on! Time out!" I heard Jack say. I decided to listen in on their conversation because, why not? "Alright, the good news is, we've already got our highest score of the year."

"That's right, 9!" Kim cheered causing the others to cheer too.

"We got time for one more shot. What d'you say we go out with style?" Jack suggested.

"Oh yeah yeah!" Jerry agreed.

"Just don't trip on Eddie's shoelaces like last time Jerry," I snickered. Jerry rolled his eyes.

"That won't happen," Jerry assured. "Just give me the ball! I'm feelin' it man! Woo!"

"You haven't scored in 5 games," Eddie pointed out.

"Do not give me the ball! I'm not feelin' it man!" Jerry corrected with the same peppy energy.

"Well I can't take it. I had 4 guys covering me all game," Jack said. "And one of them is Jerry."

"Well, no one's guarding me, I wanted to be part of something," Jerry whined.

"I don't want that germ infested ball. Did you see what number 11 was scratching before he shot his last free throw?" Milton asked.

"No, and I'm kinda concerned that you do," I shuddered.

"Well, I guess it's time for me to pull out some of the old Globe Trotter magic," Eddie sighed.

"That's great! You're gonna do some of your uncle's moves!" Jack exclaimed.

"Who's his uncle?" Kim asked.

"Only Big Easy, one of the biggest stars of the Harlem Globe Trotters," Eddie beamed.

"What?! No way!" I almost shouted. "I have a signed jersey under my bed!"

"I thought you didn't like basketball. Hence the reason you didn't tryout with us," Jack pointed out.

"Uh well I uh honestly um. Just give Eddie the ball and Jerry'll cover Jack," I changed the subject.

"Woo!" Jerry whooped.

"Eddie, remember, we're goin' out with style," Jack reminded Eddie.

"Style, my man," Jerry nodded, covering Jack again. Jack tossed the ball to Eddie. Eddie shot his shot, but ended up hitting the fire alarm.

"Ok everybody! Remain calm! There will be no panic! No runn- whoa!" Milton tried to calm everyone down, but stopped when Marge pushed him over.

"Too much tile?" Eddie asked.

"Are you kidding me? Now that's how you lose a basketball game!" Jack yelled over the noise, high fiving me.

I walked up to Jack, Kim, Jerry, and Eddie with a burger and fries, that I made, as Marge spooned in some brown gunk into Jerry's bowl. "Is this brown stuff pudding or gravy?" he asked.
