"Cami, this is gonna be the greatest Ninja Marathon ever," Jack spoke excitedly as he finished hooking up the TV in the dojo. "I mean 3 full days!"

"I hear they're gonna break the record for the most ninja attacks per hour!" I continued.

"We are living in a golden age, Cami," Jack dramatically spoke.

"Behold! The Heart Stopper! 3 feet of bread, 8 different meats, 10 pounds of cheese! What're you guys gonna eat?" Rudy asked.

"Ugh. That sounds delicious, but I have to eat healthy for this upcoming acrobatics tournament in Chicago. Coach Jillian got us first class seats!" I exclaimed.

"This is literally the happiest moment of my life!" Rudy exclaimed.

"Rudy!" Ms. Applebaum screeched. "I need your help!" I could see Rudy physically trying to hold in a groan.

"The girlfriend," he groaned. "Hey munchkin!" Rudy jogged up to Ms. Applebaum with fake happiness.

"If I ever catch you being fake happy or hear you say 'the girlfriend' you won't hear from me for a week," I quietly threatened to Jack.

"I know," he happily nodded. "That's the Cami I know."

"I am not happy," Ms. Applebaum said as she walked in with a baby. "I am watching my nephew, Booker for the week and he is a little meanie. He never shows me any affection and today he got kicked out of nursery school for poking another child! I'm gonna say it. I think he's a poker."

"That is a sad, sad story. Thanks for sharing. I'll see ya," Rudy tried pushing her out of the dojo.

"Rudy! You and I are gonna spend every moment teaching Booker that the poke is no joke," Ms. Applebaum insisted.

"I um uh," I heard Rudy stutter as me and Jack flipped through the channels. "I ooh uh I have a better idea. Why don't you leave Booker with us?" Me and Jack looked away from the TV with a 'say what now?' face.

"Why should she do that Rudy?" I fake smiled.

"So I can watch the marathon. Or I could lock the place up and no one can watch it," Rudy replied.

"We'll watch the boy! You deserve a break," Jack quickly agreed as me and him approached the adult couple.

"I think like at a spa for 3 days, not a moment less," I suggested.

"And Rudy'll pay for everything," Jack added.

"Really?" Ms. Applebaum asked happily. "Rudy, are you sure you can handle this?"

"Are you kidding?" Rudy fake laughed, shoving Booker's bag into Jack, who looked like he could probably pummel Rudy if it hadn't meant no Ninja Marathon. "I teach kids discipline and respect for a living. Come here. Oh yes. Couple of days with Uncle Rudy and his poking will be a thing of the past."

"The marathon's starting," I whispered to Rudy.

"I know," he grumbled back.
