||RICKY WEAVER||

|CAMI

I was walking with Kim to my locker, talking away about different topics. The main one being the essay contest for a chance to meet Ricky Weaver. We both submitted an essay, so we were both excited. Well, I tried to submit one. I spent to long on the revisions so I missed the deadline. I'm a big Ricky Weaver fan but nobody, besides Kim, needs to know that. "Big news everyone! Big news! Thanks to a winning essay by Kim Crawford, our school has won a concert from international mega pop star, Ricky Weaver!" a teacher announced. My eyes went wide, but I quickly recovered when Kim pulled me into a celebratory hug. "Carry on."

"Oh my god!" Kim squealed.

"I can't believe this is happening! Congratulations!" I squealed back before the boys approached us.

"Whoa wait, Cami, Kim. You're into Ricky Weaver?" Jack asked, laughing slightly.

"Um no. I'm not even sure who Ricky Weaver is," I shrugged.

"Really Cam? Because your locker seems to be a fan," Kim teased, opening my locker to reveal pictures, albums, leftover tickets, a whiteboard with his name on it, and my favorite Ricky Weaver song. The boys started laughing behind me.

"Thanks a lot Kim!" I sarcastically thanked, trying to shut my locker, but Kim kept a firm grip. I finally won the tug of war with my locker door, slamming it shut. "And I wouldn't be talking," I snickered, kicking my locker, opening hers which had a similar setup, except for one thing. "Is that my brother?"

"Nope. You saw nothing," Kim hurriedly closed her locker, blocking it with her body. "Fine. We love Ricky. We downloaded all of his music and now we're gonna meet him," Kim spoke excitedly.

"Ricky," me and Kim squealed as we headed off to class.

"Right," Kim sighed, walking into the dojo with me. "I mean, who knows Cami, he could part his hair on the left or the right. That's just what makes Ricky, Ricky."

"I can't believe because of you that over gelled pretty boy is coming to our school," Jack scoffed, looking at Kim. "I think he's got a doll's head."

"Jack, it's so predictable that a guy like you would be jealous of Ricky," I shrugged.

"What? I'm not- I'm not jealous!" Jack disagreed.

"Mhm," we hummed sarcastically, walking to the locker rooms to change.

"So, what do you think you're gonna get other than a concert for our school?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" Kim asked as she put her things into her locker.

"Did you really think that your essay would only win us a concert? He's probably got something planned for you," I told her.

"I don't know. I'm hoping he takes me out on a date or something. Somewhere romantic, like a park, or a nature trail. Bring a basket of food and settle down for a picnic," Kim trailed off. "That would be a perfect date. Then at the end, we end it with a soft kiss. I bet Carlos' lips tastes like strawberries."

"Whoa! Hold on! We were talking about Ricky," I smirked. "Did your mind wander to my dashing brother?"

"What? No. I'm in it for Ricky. What made you think I was thinking about Carlos? And his soft brown eyes with specs of gold complimenting his impeccable complexion," Kim sighed dreamily.
