||ALL THE WRONG MOVES||

Me, Kim, Jack, Milton, and Eddie were all eating lunch, comfortably conversing when Jerry came running up to us with a flyer in his hand. "Guys! I got us the opportunity of a lifetime! We're gonna be rich," Jerry exclaimed.

"For the last time! Your mom's car has a leak! There's no oil under your house!" Milton sighed exasperated.

"No, I signed us up for the Battle of the Dance Crew competition at the mall. Check it," Jerry corrected, showing us the flyer he was holding.

"Whoa. First prize wins a thousand dollars," Kim gaped.

"It's not just about the money," Jerry told us. "I've always loved dancing. You know when I was a baby, my mom hung a disco ball over my crib."

"Did it ever fall on your head?" Jack asked, laughing.

"Did what ever fall on my head?" Jerry asked, ceasing Jack's laughter.

"I think you answered your own question," I sighed, taking a bite of my apple.

"Jerry, that sounds great, but we're not a dance crew," Eddie objected.

"Cami's in one," Jerry shrugged making me choke on my apple.

"No, I was just filling in for Sophie when she had to drop out because Tyler tripped her, breaking her wrist last week," I corrected.

"Anyway, I have the skills and I'll teach you the moves," Jerry promised. "And if we work hard, we can win this together. Now what d'you say?"

"I'm in," Jack agreed.

"Absolutely," Kim nodded.

"Sure," Eddie shrugged.

"Let's do it," Milton replied.

"Cami?" Jerry looked at me with begging eyes. "Pweeeaase?"

I heaved a sigh. "Fine," I finally gave in.

"Jerry you've got yourself a crew," Jack smiled, bro hugging Jerry.

"Wasabi?" Jerry asked. We stood up, placing our right hand in our left palm.

"Wasabi," we agreed before continuing lunch.

"Is it just me or are these falafel balls greasier than usual?" Jack asked, squeezing out a generous amount of grease. We were sitting at Falafel Phil's with Jerry for lunch.

"No, that looks about right," Jerry disagreed. "Yo, check it out. That's Dan Brennan. He's the best dancer at our school. They call him 'Smooth'."

"Because he's got great dance moves?" Jack asked.

"That and the rumor goin' around that he has the softest skin ever," I scoffed.

"Yo we're talking velvet," Jerry added. Smooth walked up to our table making me roll my eyes.

"Hey Jerry. Cami," he flirtily winked at me. I sighed, rolling my eyes again. Smooth looked at Jack.
