The drop of tear rolled down from his cheek when he closed the door.. He felt happy when she said that she wanted him back in her life but somewhere he knew it wasn't possible now!

Thou he loved and still loves Nandini way too much but the barrier between them was stopping him and he had already accepted that he was toxic for her and they aren't mean to be together..

He felt something wet on his neck and realised that Ayan was crying 'Shit I shouldn't have shout at Nandini infront of him' he cursed himself and walked towards the couch..

Squatting down he caressed the back of the infant "I am so sorry baby" Ayan actually got scared from him because it was first time Manik raised his voice..

"Ayu I am sorry I won't shout again ok" Manik wiped the tears off his chubby cheeks then placed a kiss on his cheek...

"Nandini's car met with an accident" and it was enough to scared the shit out Manik..

"What?" He wasn't able to believe "Hello? Arya hello?" The line already went dead..

He stomped his feet cursing himself as everything flashed infront of him.. From her spending whole night outside his apartment to their early morning fight and the way he kicked her out..

Drowning in the guilt he started blaming himself again as tears blurred his vision and suddenly it was difficult for himself to breathe as he felt a weight on his chest..

He hastily picked Ayan in his arms and his essentials were ready as he was planning to go to cafe..

He walked out locking the door and called his staff telling them to handle the cafe and drove to the hospital which was 2 hours 30 mins from his house..

He drove as fast as he could without breaking any rules. Mumbai traffic was always a pain in the ass still he made it to the hospital..

He handed Ayan to Sid who was waiting outside the hospital and then ran inside only to came face to face with Naina..

"Naina where is Nandini? Is she fine?" He went on bombarding her with the questions.. "Will you let me speak?" Naina interrupted while Manik took a deep breath to calm himself down..

"Nandini is fine and her wounds are dressed it wasn't much serious thou she need to take rest for a week" Naina explained making him sigh in relief..

"I want to meet her" She nodded and lead him the way..

Manik found her parents, as well as his parents were present there and they were surprised seeing Manik..

"Manik you here?" Neonika was the first one to ask.."Ye.ah umm--" He fumbled not knowing what to say..

"Aunty I called him" Aryaman answered honestly and Neonika nodded..

"Where is Ayan?" Neonika asked "He is with Sid"

Gathering all the courage Manik uttered.."I want to meet Nandini"

He walked inside the private ward to found her laying on the bed her head was dressed so as her elbow..

"Manik you here I can't believe" her eyes twinkled when she saw him walking inside.

"I am glad that I met with an accident because you came running to me and I am so happy" his anger rose at her words..

"For God sake Nandini you are turning 26 in few months stop behaving like a teenager and yes I don't care about you" he said getting anger  on her while she sat on the bed pouting then hissed as she just met with an accident..
