I flipped and turned to get comfy to go to bed. It was the usual, the pillow is too hot, the room is hot and then cold within seconds, Steve snoring, the porch light from the neighbors, dogs barking. It was driving me crazy. I huffed and sat up. There was a pain in my lower back. My hand reached out for Steve.
"Steve." He mumbled something and turned. "Steve!" I hit his arm, making him jump.
"What? What's wrong? Are you okay? Natalie?" He started to look around, looking at me.
"It's coming." I breathe out. I knew the pain. "We have to go to the hospital." His eyes popped out.
"Okay, wow, hmm." He started running around the room. "I'll take you to the car, wake Natalie up, and we can head there." I nodded, trying to concentrate on my breathing. I took Steves's arm as we headed down to the car. I felt water coming down my legs.
"Its time." We raced down to the driveway, he opens the door, helps me in, and buckles me up. He sprinted back to the house to get Nat. Seconds later, he came back with Natalie in his arms, starting to wake up and the baby bag that we packed a few days ago. "Okay." He breathes out, gripping onto the steering wheel.
"Call Pepper." I called out. The car started to ring her, we waited as we drove. I felt bad, it was 4 in the morning. Couldn't the baby wait a couple more hours?
"Hello?" Peppers groaning voice answered.
"He-YYY!" I screamed, throwing my head back to the headrest.
"Whats happened? Wait- are you going in labor?" Pepper sounded more awake now.
"Yes, she is."
"I'm on my way. Give me 10 minutes." The call ended. I closed my eyes, holding onto Steves hand, nearly crushing it.
"Where are we going?" Natalie wakes up, peaking her head between us.
"Moms having the baby." Steve smiles.
"And it couldn't wait till the morning? It hasn't been born and it's already made me mad." She sits back, crossing her arms. I cracked up but winced. As we got to the hospital, Pepper was just making it with Morgan.
"Go, I got her." Pepper reaches out to Natalie. She walks up to her, rubbing her eyes. They took me into a room, change and now on the bed, ready. The doctor and nurses were already in the room.
"You're doing amazing." Steve claps his hands and sat in front of me.

"Dont." I growled in pain. I covered my eyes with my arms. Then a pain shot through me.
"Okay, are you ready Crystal?" The doctor said as she put on her gloves. I nodded as fast as I can. Steve walked besides me, holding me hand.
"He he." I started doing the breathing exercises. Lucky Steve, all they gotta do is stand there, support the mother. I gripped onto his hand, Steve had to sit down due the pressure. He bit his lip, closing his eyes. "Why are you in pain?! Im popping out a human being out of me!" I propped myself to look at the doctor, who is now looking inside me. "I need to push!"
