Unravelling The Past

Remember when I told you, what happened to me and you had to see wait and see? Well, here comes that part, when everything is going to change. My dad's gone, I have cuts,  I'm with a girl named Maya, and I don't know what or who she is, and I'm with Pepper, the only person I have close to me. Now, I'm realizing that wherever I go, the people I love or know, get hurt. So, you might be confused, so, I will start here.

Police and firefighters were at the house. They gave me a shock blanket. I was still in the house and Pepper left to get patched up. I had my dad's helmet. I looked down and I put it against my face like I was talking to him. The memories came flooding back. I heard faint beeping, it was coming through the helmet. I quickly put on the helmet and it was powering up.

"Stark secure server." Said a female synth voiced. "Retinal scan verified."

"Crystal, it's me." I gasped. "I've got a lot of apologies to make and not a lot of time." I smiled. "So... First off, I'm so sorry I put you and Pepper in harm's way. You are a tuff girl, you can get through this." I closed my eyes and started to cry. "That was selfish and stupid and it won't happen again. I want you to know, I love you, Honey Bunny. You will see me again but not now, I'm sorry for ruining Christmas."

"Why were you at the house tonight?" Pepper asked Maya. Pepper was driving, Maya was sitting on the passengers, and I sat on the back. "What was so important that you had to speak to Tony?" I sat there so I won't be yelled at or get into this.

"I think my boss is working for the Mandarin." She spilled. What! You mother hubber! "So, if you still want to talk about it I suggest that we get ourselves someplace safe."

"So, your boss works for the Mandarin, you think?" I said popping my head so they both can see me. "But my dad says you're a botanist. So.."

"That figures. What I actually am is a biological DNA coder running a team of 40 out of a privately funded think tank. But sure, you can call me a botanist."

"This boss of yours, does he have a name?" Pepper asked. Really? Does he have a name? Of course, Pepper! Everyone has a name, I think?

"Yeah, Aldrich Killian." I laid down and looked at the roof, thinking about my dad.
