"You've all received the official statement of what occurred, at Stark Industries last night. There have been unconfirmed reports that a robotic prototype malfunctioned and caused damage to the arc reactor. Fortunately, a member of Tony Stark's personal security staff..." Said Rhodey on the television.

"Iron Man. That's kind of catchy." My dad said looking at the newspaper.

"It's got a nice ring to it." I said. Pepper was cleaning up my dad. "But it's kind of evocative, the imagery, anyway."

"Here's your alibi." Phil said giving my dad a paper.

"Okay." He said.

"You were on your yacht."

"Yeah." My dad continued.

"We have port papers that put you in Avalon all night and sworn statements from 50 of your guests. For Crystal, she stayed at Elena's all night." Phil said. "The Copper family have also been informed, no need to tell them."

"See, I was thinking maybe we should say it was Pepper and me alone on the island." He looked at Pepper. Aw! They're having a moment!

"That's what happened." Phil confirmed.

"All right." My dad said.

"Just read it, word to word." He said.

"There's nothing about Stane here." My dad said. Good, he was not here so why should we say anything about him. Am I right!

"That's being handled. He's on vacation." Oh! He tried to kill my dad and now he's on 'vacation' not cool Phil, not cool. "Small aircraft have such poor safety record." I think Phil is growing on me. I like him.

"But what about the whole cover story that's it's a bodyguard? He's my... I mean, is that... That's kind of flimsy, don't you think?" My dad said. He's right about that Phil.

"This isn't my first rodeo, Mr.Stark. Just stick to the official statement, and soon, this will all be behind you." Phil told me him. "You've got 90 seconds." And he walked away. I ran to Phil.

"Agent Coulson?" I asked. "I just wanted to say thank you very much for all your help." I smiled.

"That's what we do

"That's what we do. You'll be hearing from us." He said.

"From the Strategic, Homeland..."

"Just call us SHIELD." He said.

"Right." And I walked with him and I went to the conference.

"And now, Mr.Stark has prepared a statement." Rhodey told us. "He will not be taking questions. Thank you." And walked away and then came in my dad.

"Uh, been a while since I was in front of you, I figure I'll stick to the cards this time." The crowd laughed. "There's been speculation that I was involved in the events that occurred on the freeway and the rooftop..." Then I heard the annoying voice again. The bitch that came to the house when she smacked talk Pepper."

"I'm sorry, Mr.Stark, but do you honestly expect us to believe that was a bodyguard in a suit that conveniently appeared, despite the fact that you..."

"MR. STARK WILL NOT TAKING ANY QUESTIONS IF YOU DIDNT HEAR!" I yelled.

"Thank you, Crystal

"Thank you, Crystal. I know that it's confusing. It is one thing to question that official story, and another thing entirely to make wild accusations, or insinuate that I'm a superhero." My dad said. Wait, hold the bus! Did he just say he was a superhero? Dad! The paper that Phil gave you, read them! Go by the script!

"I never said that you were a superhero." The bitch said. I should start calling her bitch.

"Didn't? Well, good, because that would be outlandish and fantastic." Then he took a deep breath. "I'm just not the hero type. Clearly, with this laundry list of character defects, all the mistakes I've made, largely public." Then I saw Rhodey whispered something to him.

"Stick to the cards, dad." I told myself.

"Truth is... I am Iron Man." He said. I gave up and smiled. The biggest Stark smile that everyone will kill for.

"Way to go, dad." I smiled. Mom would be proud of us, proud of you. I bet she is looking down and happy to see us together again, after all these years. I promise you mom, I got him.
